title. munitions like the agm-84H, gbu-53, LJDAMS, and most notably the new agm-88G, should switch to their GNSS mode before switching to IOG on break lock. because they switch to IOG, the drift ruins the point of even having GNSS as a seeker type.
this would be especially helpful for munitions that have a high chance of losing lock before they get to the target, like the agm-84H while it is terrain following, if it goes too low and a hill breaks line of sight with the target. the agm-88G would obviously benefit on stationary radar targets in NE, if they turn off their radar. (this would be a good counter to the ramjet ARMS that Russia and china gets, instead of being extremely fast for a long time, these could always hit where the target was detected on GNSS)
