Take away the 3BM42 if you have to for balancing reasons.
Currently both T-72B and T-72B (89) share the same BR making one of them redundant at a BR filled with better premium options.
Currently 10.0 line up has no MBT. 2S25M and Su-25 are the only vehicles with said BR and can’t leverage it to their advantage by either being uptiered to 10.3 or uptiering 9.3-9.7 vehicles.
T-72B with its Kontakt-1 is an iconic vehicle for post-Soviet warfare landscape. But it’s being overshadowed in the game by stronger options: T-72B (89), T-80UD, T-72AV.
Kontakt-1 would see more play vs weapon systems it can actually defeat.
T-72b could go down to 10.0 is just a slightly better T-64b and no reason to take away 3bm42 which is available at 9.7 already with T-64b, T-72b '89 with Kontakt 5 is on Par with the T-80ud and should stay at 10.3

T-72b slower than m1 abrams but has much better round and protection(tho yes weakspot-m1 just aim anywhere)

Leopard 1A1, T-62M-1, M60A3 TTS and all 9.0s in general wouldn’t have an issue with it. Especially considering 9.0/9.3 was unnecessarily decompressed which makes that BR the best in the game.
Sure, and move Abrams/2A4 to 11.0 or remove their best rounds.
Kpz-70 and by extension the MBT-70 are some of the best 9.3s in the game due to their sheer mobility. Though I do admit the MBT-70 is a bit compressed due to the slower reload than the Kpz-70.
Most 9.0-9.7 tanks are. The T-72B has good UFP thickness but that’s literally it. It sucks in every other way. 3BM42 is seen at 9.3 and 9.7 already anyway.
T-64B has way better armor and same good ammunition but still at 9.7 and when people suggest something with similar performance except less armor at 10.0 they’re opposite. But really, I’m neutral, like, isn’t like the 2S25 is at even lower with the same 3BM42 other Soviet vehicles has at higher BR.
And also considering others like the Sabra mk. I with way better round than 3BM42 at 9.7 with additional 132 mm of penetration @ 0° in 10 m distance, and yet bit faster.
Same applies to someone trying to play the T-72B in a 11.3 match, facing Type 90s and TKX (P) wouldn’t exactly be fair would it? A vehicle capable of outreloading by almost 2x, superior mobility and armor despite covering only the frontal arc doesn’t seems exactly fair at my point of view, note 10.3 get a lot of 11.3 matches.

and tbf, 99% of the “unfair BR” problem could be fixed after BR extended
T-72B and T-72B 1989 have the same exact composite armor.
UFP having a different ERA does not improve the overall armor of the tank to a notable extent.
