as it stands right now decorations, which are diffrent from decals, you can not disable. so from what i currently know i have to expect it to be an effect in regular gameplay

Its Christmas, have some tact.
The fact they’re putting more effort into sexualized elves rather than fixing the buggy game is crazy. Largely because they think this is what will get the player base to shut up for a while - and sadly they’re probably right.

And yet to my knowledge decoration that would change ingame effects would be unheard of AFAIK; moreso one that would do it for everyone in match not just person having said decoration included.

you need to put some skillpoints into reading comprehension my dude, because you seem to have ignored that skill so far in your character build.
i clearly wrote “if this nonsense isnt an optional i can turn off”.
you know, like back when we had the christmas holiday hats which initially where still showing up even if you choose to exclude the fictional decorations, at the very release of the hats they even showed up oversized and you couldnt turn that off.
imagine how annoying it was when some people figured out you can put those hats over weakspots/half the tank and have no obstruction in your own gunner view.
so yeah, hence my rant.
same goes for the fireworks effect, since we also had the snowflake smoke for airplanes with the “realistic decoration” setting too for a while.
before gaijin realized that the snowflake smoke effect was really disturbing your view, making aiming really hard.
Then I perhaps need to be reminded the last time event was “forced onto entire playerbase”; unless youre talking about those “santa elves” being present in hangar, which was the case for the last few years.
