Why the hell do the camos need to be purchased separately this time!? Before if we already owned the vehicle, they could be acquired by playing missions with them. That’s how I got the Turkish livery for the F-5C

Suppose the amx13 is unique, but again, keyboard guided missles that you cant move while shooting. The missle has to stop guiding before you can move again, itll get you killed more than not.

It needs to be meantioned that since you dont get an air spawn, you’ll never get to a base first. Keeping the pre-AF spawn description of this aircraft is borderline false advertisement.

This does not take away from your point, BUT, I was just test driving it RB mode, and you CAN move the tank if you switch to binoculars. You can no longer guide the missile, but it does continue on its course and does not self destruct. At least you do have an option if you do need to move after firing. (And you can regain control of the missile if you reenter the gun sight mode.)

Player of the AMX-13 SS11 here. It is worthwile. The base is already an excellent tank, but with the added firepower to deal with heavier target. And yes, the keyboard missile needs a little getting used to, but as long as you don’t go face first into a corner, it’s more than adequate.
Would love for the Exocets to come in game.
While their uses would be very limited, it has happened several times that I wanted to destroy ships for some points and just to have fun in simulator, but sadly couldn’t since the étendard didn’t have them

i do like the base amx13, i never got the ss11 purely due to the missle. I can see how they would be useful at times, but the way i play the amx13 and ebr 54 im on peoples sides.
I suppose it could also work like the chinese squadron tank, forgot the name. The one with 4 missle strapped to the outside. If you stuff up a shot you launch a missle
The Chinese squadron vehicle uses its missiles when it misses with the main gun, because of its relatively slow reload.
For the AMX13, the employment rules of the SS11 are completely different : the autoloaded 75mm allows to keep shooting at a target before they can fire back.
However, the gun cannot pen all targets the AMX faces (when the Chinese has a decent APFSDS), such as jagtigers, IS3s… this is when the missiles are useful.
Also, the SS11 fire a bit above the cursor initially and are not* mouse guided, meaning you usually won’t use them at close range, whereas the Chinese squadron and use them at any ranges
