Well then even better its how it is irl AND it does differentiate them from each other so you dont have to grind through 4 leo 2s which are all the same (not exactly a plus)
Interesting. How is it accessed then? because also the model viewer doesnt show a commander sight for that AIM and the standard M1A1? did those just not have them besides the standard sights for the commander? Or is it modelled wrong?
Its and m1a1. Which means it came before the m1a2 variants. The m1a1 did not get the commanders individual viewer. Which is accurate if you do research or see such m1’s in the early Iraq war. If I’m correct. The m1 tanks don’t have a commanders individual viewer until the later m1a2 variants came out which enabled the commander to have this abilities. So im going to say its modeled correctly.
That is correct. It would have been through the 50 cal mounted at the top. But it wouldn’t have been accessed through the literal cctv like the later m1a2 varients whith a individual viewer.
my guess you mean the 2a5. But simply the 2a7 is the first in service leopard that received gen 3 thermals. Before that it simply wasnt a priority for the german army.
There is tanks like the PSO-VT, 2a6a3. 2a7a1. Leopard ATD that could be added right now and receive gen 3 thermals as well.
Stuff like thermals penetration armor etc is devised from real resources.
Gajin tries to be as close as possible (even if they do a terrible job at times) and uses very little "balancing " mechanics. One being the reload rate of the guns
2a7 has gen 3. But yeah I get it. Not to mention the other varients of you mentioned. Would pretty cool to see them in game. Me personally I don’t think the 2a5 and 2a6 should be at the same br as the 2a7 if they are added. But then again there really not much difference. Just different gen thermals and maybe a few armor or tech upgrades to the a7
It is currently ingame like it is IRL
I don’t see your problem.
And there are differences between the leo 2a5,2a6, pso and 2a7
The 2a6 has a better gun than the 2a5
The pso is a urban combat variant of the 2a5
The 2a7 has the same gun as the 2a6 and better armor
i mean i absolutely believe that it is correct. after all why would they put it in game like this if it wasnt and they could just add the commander sight?
What im wondering is, it does have commander override (hunter-killer) or whatever you want to call it? without the commander switching seats to the gunner position? So can the commander just take control of the gunner optics from his seat or how does that work?
Thats what i always said? Ofc its good that they are different, after all why would you want to grind multiple tanks that are all the same? especially if the optics are like that irl, which that other guy confirmed (and i wasnt entirely sure about)?
That was all but my answer to op. They r different (even tho so slightly) and for playability its not a problem that it has just gen 1 gunner thermals. while having much better commander thermals than most of its peers.
You select machine gun.
My machine gun selection is probably tab + q. My reset weapon selection is F which is also my repair.
My leaderboard keybind was switched to ~ since this game doesn’t need that key for anything else.
oh cool. well i know about the switch to secondary machinegun, didnt know that on the aim that view has gen 3 thermals for the commander. but through that view the commander cant control the main gun so if it has commander override (gunner gets shot but commander almost instantly takes control of main gun as it is on most high and all top tier tanks) how does he aim? can he access the gunner sight from his seat (weirdly enough thats how it is on most tanks tho shouldnt you only be able to shoot through commander view until he has changed seats)?
The commander view through machinegun is not very practical in comparison to the commander view with the setting aiming through commander view on so he moves the turret and gun and you can just switch back and forth between gunner view for precise quick shooting and commander view with higher fov and better thermals on leos. in comparison even the good old binos with gen 3 eyeballs are better and quicker.
a simpler way to access the commader view is to do the following:
- go into binocular view
- press your keybind for NVD
- you are now in the commander view
(you can also bind a button to directly enter commander view)
