Hey everyone! Following on from the model update of the Tiger II (Nr.1-50) in the previous major update, today we’re pleased to present you with another model update, this time for the serial production of the Tiger II manufactured by Henschel, as well as the version with the Sla.16 diesel engine!
The Tiger II isn’t just an iconic tank for all fans of military history or an engineering masterpiece that influenced the development of most heavy tanks of its era, it’s also one of the best and most beloved heavy tanks among players in War Thunder.
We’re pleased to bring you a completely updated look for the King Tiger, as well as the experimental Tiger II (Sla.16), which you’ll find in the game when the Spearhead major update releases!
Great to see so much hard work going into these flagship vehicles, accurate representation of German heavy armour is a real draw for War Thunder.
Is there any intention to fix the excessive top speeds in the Spearhead update? While the powertrain gearing is now fairly accurate, it’s still resulting in loss of torque at mid-to-high speeds because certain ratios are too long.
The Sla.16 in particular suffers from heavy torque loss in CC2-3 because its top speed is 47 km/h due to incorrect application of its previous engine power/rpm bug report, and the only way to reach this speed is by throwing it down a steep hill.
For my shame, I only returned to German ground and unlocked the Tiger 2 (Nr.1-50) this week (hefty boi).
I feel at least on the earlier model the extra track provides a not inconsiderable amount of key frontal arc protection and should be a modification rather than present at stock.
Absolutely wonderful! As I have already mentioned, upgrading the quality of the oldest models to the latest standards is one of the best parts in Major Updates now.
Lol, yeah that was my reaction as well. I love the (Serienturm) Tiger IIs in game and when it comes to real history of WW2 I’m as fascinated by them as a topic as the next guy, but that’s precisely way this reads so odd. Calling it a masterpiece is certainly a… choice.
Then again, I guess it’s normal and expected - they’re a company hyping one of their assets, even if indirectly.
idk they don’t look at bug reports that you link in chat idk why
like at least give an update better than ignoring the bug report
i have bug reports from a month ago even i link them the bug report no one check them and i talk with a mod and no one answers i stopped making bug reports because of that.
even 2h ago a bug report was acknowledged or seen
no idea why but my issue is just give a reason why the bug report is not seen would be nice !
The only caveat to that is that imho they went a bit too far with the Zimmerit, especially with its patterning. That’s far too regular an application imho
sometimes they do sometimes they ignore !
and they always tell us to bug report if want to fix issue in game help improve the game and i bug report and follow all steps nothing happens and i have to keep commenting over and over and over on to get their attention if they answer and i know it’s annoying to spam issue over and over but the way the handle it’s bad they make me feel my feedback and bug report is trash and does not matter.
i play other games when i bug report the person who takes the bug report answers and say thanks for bug report but there is already one open and they close it.
but in war thunder you fight to get your bug report seen they really need to rework how bug reports works and maybe but a robot that can detect already opened or similar bugs.
Also if your bug reported you never get updates what happened from the devs
