Mitsubishi G4M2 model 22a (一式陸上攻撃機二二甲型)
The Mitsubishi G4M2 model 22a is a Japanese long-range medium bomber developed in 1944. Probably 50 aircraft of this version were built. This aircraft received better defensive armament and was equipped with the H6 radar
History
In late 1943 and early 1944, the Japanese Naval Command realized that it was becoming increasingly difficult to provide escort for the G4M2 Model 22 aircraft, that American fighters were deadly to bombers, and that the G4M2 Model had insufficient defensive armament. Two solutions to this problem were proposed, the first was to improve the defensive armament of the G4M2 Model 22 bombers, and the second to improve its performance (this is how the Mitsubishi G4M2a Model 24 was created). Therefore, at the end of 1943, Mitsubishi was commissioned to improve the defense capabilities of the G4M2 model 22 aircraft. The modification was not too complicated and consisted of replacing the Type 92 machine guns with Type 99 model 1 cannons. However, once the cannons were mounted, the gunners interfered with each other’s fire, so the gunners were moved relative to each other so that the gunners did not interfere with each other (something similar can be seen in the B-17 and B-24). The G4M2 Model 22 Ko aircraft carried out various tasks from day and night bombing to long-range partoles along with the old G3M2 Model 22/23 aircraft. To facilitate all missions, it was decided to install the H6 radar on the bomber, which allowed it to detect both ships and aircraft. The G4M2 Model 22 Ko aircraft served until the end of the war alongside the improved versions of the G4M2 Model 24 and G4M3 Model 34.

Summary
The Mitsubishi G4M2 Model 22 Ko is an interesting aircraft for Japan in War Thunder. This aircraft is a really heavily defensively armed bomber that could defend itself against enemy fighters. This aircraft would be a good Premium or event vehicle due to its powerful armament and small number of producers. I encourage you to discuss in the comments and to share your own knowledge on this subject.
Finally, I apologize for the linguistic and logical errors because unfortunately English is not my main language and I had to use google translator.
