I wouldn’t go that far. AAM-3 is basically a more maneuverable AIM-9M imo.

If you look at the design of AAM-3 it isn’t limited by the AIM-9 design and flight performance wise should be R-73 level
Yeah i just mean it’s not in the same generation as an ASRAAM. But it should be better or similar to things like AIM-9M. I fully agree it is more equivalent to the R-73A.
If i had to guess it’s performance in game it would be like a slightly more maneuverable Python 3 with the range of a 9L and as good if not better flare resistant of the current R-73.
AAM-3 is literally Mach 3.5, way faster than AIM-9

They gave every intake animations so far, I think they’ll be continuing.
F-111’s is among the coolest in WT.
You also have F-14, Mig-29…
I am curious how many jets have moving components able to be seen, cause I’d love to look at more.

Well, F-15 is here. I am not an expert, but I believe it was an F-15A (MSIP?) in the trailer based off the feathered engines and countermeasures?
As I understand it there isn’t a great deal of difference between an A MSIP model and the early C/J model. I hope we aren’t forgotten this patch and have a repeat F-16AJ and get the F-15 after everyone else.

Yeah if it’s a A MSIP then really no reason to not see a pre-msip F-15J

Yea my big fear is they just forget about it for Japan because it’d have a different model than the F-15A the US and maybe Israel uses.
However they did give the MLU for China first and the ADF after so there could be both F-15A and C in the update.

No C models have the feathered engines like that.
And since there is (so far) no ARH this patch, an F-15A MSIP is the logical progression. They will probably save the later C models for whenever ARHs are added.

I’m also curious if we get 9Ms with US or just 9L (maybe AAM-3).
Engines are identical.
That shroud is removable, a lot of F-15s had them removed, but they don’t have to be removed.
F-15C with them is just as accurate without them.
That’s my hope too, especially since the MSIP A and early J models would be very similar. Nothing really for US players to complain about.
I imagine and hope that its a balancing thing and they will give out 9Ms for compatible airframes. As much as I’d love AAM-3, its probably still too strong for the game.

Yea, I just hope it’s something to set it apart from the F-16AJ. I suppose you could argue more SARH missiles and a better radar but since it IS an air superiority fighter, I’d hope it has all the best A2A goodies.
maybe they might do what they did with Israel and give AIM-9Ms anyway, though i prefer AAM-3s of course but so far no indication they are being worked on or assuming we get F-15J early it will just come with 9Ls.
