Some Japanese Eagles are getting the “golden eagle” treatment, it seems, and are getting AESA radars, computers, and the EPAWSS EW system, along with new displays and AAM-4B and AAM-5B integration.
No AMBER racks at the moment, I believe, so it’ll be 8 AAM’s at most.
Even with amber racks doesn’t that mean just more AAM5B? At least when 5th gen gets added in 2027 or around then japan has f35 and maybe with the korean tech tree Malaysia gets kf21.
Why would the AMBER racks only be capable of carrying AAM-5B?
Oh idk, the f15jm can’t carry aam4 on the outer wing pylons so i thought Gaijin would do something similar. A f15 super interceptor with AESA and 12 AAM4B can definitely be in top tier.
