Hello,
I submitted a detailed bug report about the missing propellant charge compartment protection on the PzH 2000 over a week ago, including several official sources such as KNDS, along with visual documentation.
The issue is both simple and significant:
The PzH 2000 in War Thunder currently lacks the dedicated and armored propellant charge compartment that protects the crew from internal explosions in the real vehicle. This compartment is located in the turret rear and separated by protective barriers, similar to the ammunition separation systems found in modern MBTs.
Because this is not modeled in-game, the vehicle becomes far more exposed than it should be, based on its real-world design. A single penetrating shot into the charge storage often results in immediate destruction, which does not reflect how the actual system is built to function.
Despite the effort I put into compiling accurate and well-sourced information, there has been no reply from the developers – no confirmation, no rejection, not even a comment.
I understand there are many reports and limited resources, but this is a critical issue that affects a high-tier vehicle and undermines its realistic design.
It would be greatly appreciated if the issue could at least be acknowledged or passed on for review.
Thank you for your comment!
I don’t have much hope for my report either, but I still hope that the developers will at least take notice of it. It’s frustrating when important issues remain unaddressed for so long.
Send those questions in a message to the Technical Moderators. They are listed here ( Who is who and Reporting Procedure ) and if you don’t get an answer in a few days you can add more of them to the first message instead of sending a new one, that preserves the date of the message and doesn’t make it look like a new request.
Hello,
Thank you for your tip.
I’ve contacted several moderators, but I haven’t received any replies yet.
Is there anything you might be able to do to help?
Also, is there anything I can do in the meantime?
I really appreciate your support—thank you again!
It has been a weekend so processing messages and replying is naturally going to be slower. (and they likely get a lot of messages…)
If i were you i would just add more moderators to the original message and give it a few more days.
I don’t think I’ll be able to do anything really, but if you still got no answer in a couple of days then ping me again and I’ll see if i can ask the team.
Thank you very much! Someone from the dev team finally noticed my post.
Right now, it’s just labeled “Forwarded as a suggestion.”
Do you have any idea if it might actually get added, or should I try reaching out to them again?
Thanks for the advice!
It might not ever get implemented if the DEV’s feel like it’s not needed or if the sources aren’t reliable enough. They still like to have any information they can get though as it might help them in any future decisions. But i wouldn’t get my hopes up for it being implemented any time soon, better to have low expectations (for forwarded suggestions) and be pleasantly surprised compared to high hopes and be disappointed. :)
Hey there,
It’s been a year since I posted about this. Do you know if there will be any changes regarding the PzH 2000 ammunition storage, or has this been dropped?
No idea sadly, i have no insight into development and no contact with the developers. It would be better to ask either the Technical Moderators through a private message or go to the " Major Update “Heavy Cavalry” - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 4)" thread and ask Smin1080p_WT (one of the Community Managers) in that thread since they answer questions in there regularly. (the link will be out of date once the new update gets released)

You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure). If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one of the moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.
Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve added all the regular moderators with no answer then you can add the seniors.
