Pretty simple statment;

The J32B’s SRAK m/57b rocket pods/rockets are designed to be air-to-air. These would act similar to the rockets on the F-89D scorpion, with a Radio-Fuze activation, and would give an actual reason to play the jet. This would also be a great advantage to the already horrendous J35D which can mount these pods as well.

It should be added, as it’s historical to the specific 57b variant of the rocket, and would be good in head ons and dealing with larger planes.

I’m like 98% sure they didn’t have a radio fuse, they were ment for air-to-air but mostly big bombers that couldn’t dodge them as they used a contact fuse.

I’d have to do some deep research, but the 135mm Srak m/75 on the viggens do have VT fuses.

Srak is just a general name “SprängRaket” meaning Explosion Rocket. the m/xx is the actual designation. where the number is usually the year of introduction.

I don’t think the viggens carry any Srak nor any m/75 designation rockets?

Then which is the one the Viggen has in game right now? Is it the Psrak m/70?

Do you mean the Psrak m/70? because those do not have proxy fuses and were only for ground attack.

Yes; they actually did have fuses, and different warheads. They had HEAT, HE, and HE-VT fuse warheads.

I can’t find any information on that at a cursory glance through the flight manual for the AJS37.

Edit:
Sorry, i missed it, it does state “zonrör” meaning proxy.

Flight manual just states them as attack rockets, not specific variants because they had no effect difference on flight or anything.

I just edited previous post.

m/70 are usually for ground but can be fitted with proxy fuse.

They are however not the same rockets as the Srak m/57.

Yes, I know they aren’t the same.

Okay, so why bring those up as an argument for the others having proxy?
