Missing armour from the Badger IFV

According to Dewald Venter’s study, as cited in both tank encyclopaedia and Wikipedia, the badger should have frontal protection against 30mm apfsds rounds, which it definitely does not. I believe that it would only have said protection when the add-on armour package is added (though it isn’t explicitly stated and I’m not buying his book to learn more about it) though I believe the add-on armour is installed at almost all times, and the in-game weight is 28t which is the estimated weight with the add-on armour, while it is around 26.6t without the armour.
I’m open to being wrong if I’m missing something so please let me know, but hopefully will be fixed :)

Bump. Gaijin neglected to even mention them removing the composite screens that were present on devserver, which would have allowed the badger to approach this requirement.

Need to make a bug report man, they’ll dismiss it like all the others but you can at least try

The Badger needs a lot more than that to be a viable vehicle in this game. But if it had it IRL, it should have it ingame.

Yeah I will do, its been on my list to make one, and as you say it’s unlikely they will do anything but it’s worth a try :)

It’s not that bad in my experience, would be nice if it had more of a load out though. I think turret traverse is the biggest let down

Yeah, but you’d rather take the Falcon / ZA-35 at 8.3. I just wish it came with ATGM, it would make up a little for the silly doof doof gun. Power to you for giving it a go, though. I can’t bring myself to use it, lol.

Honestly the protection is the biggest letdown for me. You just get torn apart by the autocannons it was specifically built to survive. Not to mention the fact that any HEAT tears through it with ease.

Yeah that too, it’s pretty survivable but it’s really frustrating dying to BMPs and bmds when it was designed to protect against them, as you said
