Missing AIM-120A/AIM-120B Option

Now with the introduction of the new AIM-120D missile, that as of now is functionaly an AIM-120C5 with a longer battery life many jets a missing the option to bring the AIM-120A/B missiles

this is a critical issue, because the AIM-120A/B is more effective at close ranges than the AIM-120C/D, with it both hitting the target faster and turning slightly more (not that it turns well at all since its fin AOA was nerfed)

as a result with this new update, many top tier planes that already have comparatively poor performance are effectively getting nerfed by removing one of their most effective missile choices and replacing it was a copy and paste of an option they already had

seen below are the modification trees for some of these planes

and this is also affecting new aircraft which are being added without the option to bring AIM-120A/B

you get it with the C5 when you unlock it

You unlock all of the 120 variants with the 120D mod. None of them lost their 120A/Bs

but that is likely a bug given that you also unlock 120D

its not a bug its stated that the 120A/B will be put under the C-5 mod the 120D might be a bug tho

I have since noticed that that is the pylon with stock missiles

thats the 120D you get when you are stock

check on a different pylon

i think the real issue iv seen is the missile dosnt seem to loft any better than the C-5 and is missing the ability to reconnect its data link so its pretty much a C-5 copy past with better ins only.

right now according to datamines the only differences are the 0 ins drift and 30s longer battery life
