The fact it exists as a subtree isn’t my argument, it’s that the way they did it is dumb as hell

it differs in no way how other subtrees were introduced. they all get vehicles they operated, some of them being export variants.
Subtrees are added to fill in gaps that cannot be filled by the nation

not exclusively. subtrees are also added to introduce a country that operates unique domestic vehicles but not enough of them to form a standalone TT.

on poorly implemented subtrees that offer mostly copypaste when there are unique designs aviable.
swiss mirage IIIS is going to swiss subtree. there is no justification for it to go to france, unlike with CLOVIS and DF105.
adding it to france too would further dilute the uniqueness of the tree without any justification, unlike with dutch Leo2A4 being in benelux subtree, which are vehicles that served with dutch army and as such they need to go whenever dutch vehicles are.

Swiss Mirage III should have gone to France long before a Swiss subtree was even a concept (even though its poorly done as-is and not needed) because its a French jet, just as the Leopard should have gone to Germany and not France

to give an extreme example, If i were to claim you are sexually attracted to feet without providing any source, it would be clearly in violation of forum rules in multiple ways. i dont see reason why other claims should be treated differently.

Leopards are different to mirage IIIS due to the fact that they were operated by both belgium (leo1s) and dutch (leo2s). belgium and netherlands are subtree to france. hence france got leopard 2s.
swiss is not subtree for france tho, and france never operated mirage IIIS.
