Mirage F1C/CT/200 is unfair

Look where the countermeasure dispensers are mounted and their orientation
The only sensical way they could fire is to the right of the engine

Don’t act like you’re the only one or personally victimised bruh

i wasn’t acting like that, just saying

i have a lot of veteran friends that are a lot better than me in this game and they also say its a bit unfair in certain BRs

The SARHs could be fixed if they modeled the chaff filtering. The FM does actually carry it in a gunfight, you’ve just got to play it properly instead of turn fighting everything which is what most people who pick up the premium one do. Short and long, it is the best 12.0 and is pretty much at the perfect rating for the platform.

the Mirage F1 radar is incompatible with CW missiles which includes the 530D, the 530F was created specifically for use on the Mirage F1, the 530D needs the Mirage 2000’s radar for guidance, as the Cyrano-IV does not have the required equipment for the guidance of 530D, much like how the F8 Crusader was incompatible with AIM-7 so they made the pulse AIM-9C for it, (also why the similarly Pulse guided R.530 works onboard the French F-8E), or the R-3R and MiG-21 Sapphire radar, with the Kopyo radar upgrade on the MiG-21-93 + MiG-21 Bison allowing them to incorporate CW missiles.

It is not gaijin’s reasoning to limit it to the 530F, but a physical limitation of the Radar itself.

if you have evidence to the contrary from any valid sources, you’re welcome to bug report it

before you even mention the EQ-6, not even the suggestion on this forum mentions it

and as you stated, you got your source for the claim that it could use the 530D, you said it was from Wikipedia

nor does wikipedia even mention this

and even if it did, it uses a different radar, and thus not guaranteed to be compatible with the base Cyrano IV of the Mirage F1s in game (I’m having issues finding the difference between Cyrano variants)

Though i am aware that the 530F may have some chaff filtering based on acceleration or something (based on a warthunder reddit so i wouldn’t trust it that much) which may or may still be working or may be broken as of current (or erroneous at the time and removed due to a bug report) - https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/17p9wl0/comment/k849p1q/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

A10c sat at 11.7 with 4 9ms lol.

One is a actual plane and the other is lardex the destroyer of buffets, if you somehow allow a A-10C fire a AIM-9M at you that is 100% your fault given you can dictate the entire engagement and normally have SARHs.

pulse seeker :(

Magic 2 is the only good thing it has going for it, along with the radar, and i guess you could also take into account its high top speed.

But everything else varies from mid to trash.

Actually, the radar is pretty poor imo, especially for 12.0 compared to a few.

Magic IIs
Large CM count
Decent top speed

is about it imo

Tbh im playing it in sim at 11.7
imo it doesn’t stand out in anything, matter of fact its abysmal in various areas.

I don’t really know what there is at 11.7 that has a similar performing radar (mig23 perhaps? Or maybe the brit phantoms).
Also yea forgot about the countermeasures

Mig-23MLD at 11.3 (SB) has probably an equal radar. But if you can get around the fiddlyness of the PDV on the FGR2/FG1, its a lot better than the F1C-200’s radar. Only weaker radars are those without MTI at all, like the FRS1, F-5E, and F-4E I reckon.

For SB I find it… okay, but I just play it as a mud mover, I generally avoid dogfights and just bully Su-39s with the Magic IIs if and when I see them

Yea, i don’t think it’s a bad aircraft overall, but it is certainly mid

Yeah, same. Its a nice average aircraft for the BR.
