So overperforming that it and other Sparrows still have a high frequency of pissing off in a different direction instead of at the hard-locked aircraft they were fired at.
Seriously, dude…

Well, as a joke, technically, it is overperforming [a bit] than IRL.
AFAIK, it never had an Inverse-Monopulse seeker, unlike Skyflash or AIM-7M did.
(But it works like that in-game, just like other SARHs do, Thanks to Gaijin’s laziness.)
Still, I get what you mean and agree with your points.
i mean to be fair, some of them did do that
if the seeker had been a pulse-Doppler… :dddddddd
Im talking about the inverse monopulse seeker thing. Anyway, every SARH missiles do that, thats why DL is so worth it (like seen on R-27R because you can just lock again)
Irakian variant - F.1E stands for Export
in France, every Mirage F.1 got access to Magic-II’s (missile entered service in 1986)
here’s some service time for each variants:
F.1C : 1976 - 1994
F.1C-200 : 1979 - 2014
F.1CT : 1988 - 2012 (55 converted from F.1C-200 variants, so already flying since 1979)
The only missing french variant is the Mirage F.1CR, which is the Recon variant.
it flew from 1983 to 2013
with a diffferent radar : Cyrano IVMR (multimode)
and some other differences (if i recall, it’s the only variant to not use central pod for missiles, but Recon pods only)
cameras in the nose (which also reduce the guns from 2 to 1, due the IR sensor SAT SCM2400 Super Cyclope being integrated in the Port Side Gun)
Only Spanish and Greek Mirages (maybe also Marocco ones) were fitted with AIM-9P/L’s then 9M’s (if AIM-9M’s they would sit at 12.7/13.0)
until the Mirage F.1-MF2000 from Marocco, which get fitted with MICA-EM through ASTRAC program (would fit as 13.3/13.7)
the Mirage F.1EQ-6 is completely different aircraft than current Mirage F.1 in game:
it’s Multi-role, compared to in-game Interceptors or CAS variants.
It’s featuring better Radar Cyrano IV-SP1, better avionics overall, and a different engine than SNECMA ATAR 9K50 → the SNECMA M53 (which equip the Mirage 2000 series)
it can be firing GBU’s (since EQ-5) and EXCOCETS (with EQ-6)
If Mirage F.1EQ-5 or -6 were to be introduced in the game → they would be 12.3 aircrafts
BTW: i hate doing that, but have you ever played any Mirage F.1 within game?
because it is clearly not as good as you think it is, and it’s pretty balanced at 12.0 now.
i’m necroing this, is the F1 still fun to fly? Considering it to grind out france…
It’s decent.
The Magic 2s are basically 2 secured kills if u aren’t a noob that fires them in head ons or at 5km, and the 530F is guided by a TRK/SRC mode, not TRK/SRC PD mode, which means that it works like a heavy and stealthy missile that all ur enemies can’t detect with RWR, but since it’s SRC and not SRC PD, it’s extremely ez to chaff it.
from where did you got that part?
last time i checked, most RWR do knows Mirage F.1 radar pings (which is in “i” Band)
nothing is “Stealthy”
it uses SRC/TRK mode, not SRC PD/TRK PD mode.
most planes can only detect PD radar waves (F/A-18 for example), so except ur enemy already saw ur missile coming, it’s mostly a stealthy missile.
go check a video review of the Mirage F1C-200, that’s the best way u can get informed of it and it’s performance.
btw i said missiles, not radar. ur enemies can see ur ping iirc, but not the “LAUNCH” warning.
he is talking about the r-530f
which can be one chaffed due to it not having a CW seeker but a Pulse seeker
the same reason why it dosent give launch warnings
becasue its a pulse missile
and you know what that means?
a single drop of chaff and the missile is going to be trashed
Do people not just pop a chaff whenever they see a mirage 2k lock them? Like ive only ever died to one due to a sarh missile once and that was because i had run out of chaff lol. Its not like they are hard to dodge either.
its not even about the M2K
but the Mirage F1C
I always say 2k when i mean f1… dont ask me why but yeah.
the missile not giving a launch warning is something that will fool somebody once and then you should just know to drop a single chaff when locked by a Mirage F1
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me
also if u launch the missile in a blind spot of ur enemy’s RWR it will be easier to kill him, and if u lock ur target at long range they will not expect u launching a missile that far away, which means u can get closer without them caring of u and then u have the perfect oportunity to launch it. whatever if an ally launches a SARH missile that has CW at the same enemy, ur 530F is probably cooked except ur enemy is dumb and relies in multipath.
yeah i forgot about the name of CW, i remember it almost perfectly due to the Kurnass 2000.
Ive managed to get a handfull of kills with the r530 on my 10.0 mirage 3c let alone anything at 12.0 lol. I would rather bring the ir 530 and just hope they dont see the massive smoke plume coming towards them lol.
yeah this post is so old im not even worried about F1Cs anymore so im not trash-talking about them anymore (plus it’s been a while since i saw one).
