U can just about do it with every 2k kph plane in game. Alt and loadout dependent sure but still.
I’m having a tough time flying the SC4… took a long break and i just can’t make it work, the high speed compression, weird radar and quirky flight model are doing my head in, seems like you can’t go too fast in this thing.
You can go fast with it, you just have to gain altitude. It’s a plane that really comes into its own above 3,000 or even 4,000 meters. Not that it’s a easy plane to play obviously, but to say it’s not fast is a bit of an exaggeration
That’s not what I’m saying, what I meant is you cantt notch or roll missiles well because of intense compression at high speeds, the turn radius at speed is also abysmal, basically it’s not easy to fly this thing well.
Personally, when flying it at altitude, it is largely capable of notching missiles (obviously it is not a Rafale or a Eurofighter so you do not turn on the spot). Using it too low and at too high a speed makes it really uncomfortable because as you say it cannot turn in these conditions but at altitude and with a speed that you regulate around mach 1 it is much better. Typically between 3k and 5k meters of altitude with the PC mini the plane is really good.
Is the mirage 4k supposed to have an all aspect radar or is it just stuck with this horrendous pdv radar

Yep, and the RDM variant on it is a late one so the radar is rather good compare to the first variants. IRL this radar is really bad a d French pilots even called the RDM the “Tefal” (a stove brand) because it was a really hot radar that doesn’t catch/grip anything (the joke is better in french, kinda hard to translate)
They also called the RDM Radar De Merde, or « poopoo (censored) radar ».
Personally, I find the M2K very good. The FM changed forced me ti use the airbrake far more often since it’s the only way to quickly drop from Mach speeds when trying to notch. However overall the earlier 2000 have insane capabilities compared to their BR, since you see less fox 3s overall, they can be used quite aggressively and the top speed of the mirage allows for this kind of gameplay.
Going back from the rafale is always a bit tough tho lol

I have to say that I’m really disaponted by this update for the Mirages, the US and other nato countries received new guided bomb this update but still no fix on the missing weapons on the Mirage 2000D RMV. The NCTR was added on the 2000Cs but no change were made for the HUD indication for it. And the Phimat were only add on the right wing of the Mirage F1 and not on both …
It almost look like they want to improve things but generally don’t care to do it completely

Also missing ton of chaff, ground ordinance and 2 530Ds on the center pylon, all passed as “suggestion” years ago even through the info came straight from the official manual… (but iog for the kh38 was immediately added after a Chinese airshow brochure surfaced)
About the Mirage 4000, i’m more worried about the curent state of it’s flight model. in fact it did not receive the flight models changes of the 2000, despite being mostly a copy/paste of it, and thats adding to the drag that increase a lot more than the 2000 past mach1, making it worse in this area.
I thought those were the 530fs on the center pylon not the ds
Technically it never carried any 530D’s at all since the missile wasn’t in production when the plane was being tested, but it was planned to be fitted with them in place of the F’s eventually afaik.
This, I’m pretty disappointed with how Gaijin treated Mirage 4000, because AFAIK, Yak-141 was pretty complete, while Mirage 4000 still missing some features like actual seperate Chaff Dispenser, and most importantly that moving canards.

Nah canards aren’t controlled. IRL they either have a fix position, or a feathered position, where they are unlocked and free to rotate at will. This was used to reduce high speed drag of the canards
