I inquired an expert on the M2K about this, there’s no way to have an AoA off-switch on the Mirage 2000. But more reports on the Mirage 2000s are planned to come.
so… are the two switches in the dcs m2k c not realistic or something (i know dcs isnt a source, its just i think i remember razbam working with french Armée de l’air, so i would assume it would be quite close)
and also curious, what reports you think of doing? what is missing?
I inquired and this is what was said.
The Fly-by-wire G limiter switch doesn’t disable the flight control system. You can revert to fixed gains for the CDVE, meaning that the system ignore speed, altitude, pressure, temperature etc. But the CDVE are still in control. The only way to have it fail is damage or failure
- Mirage 2000s are missing RWR coverage below the aircraft.
- Mirage 2000s should have cruise capabilities (could mean increased thrust and decreased drag similar to what happened with Rafale’s cruise capabilities)
- Mirage 2000s landing run (gear brakes could use a buff to slow down quicker)
- Missing air to surface modes (Air to surface ship track, GMTI, GTT)
- Mirage 2000s are missing countermeasure sensor fusion
The fact that the 2000C keeps getting better every other update since its introduction is actually crazy. Keep up the good work !
if Mirage 2000 got pseudo-supercruise, that mean it will be more justified to place it in 12.7, this would be great if Gaijin implemented this.
As if removing F-16’s G limiter wasn’t enough …
Sorry to mislead you guys, seems the Mirage 2000s cruise capabilities is modeled correctly. It is supposed to cruise at low altitude with 8 x 500 pound bombs and 2 IR missiles at just over 600 knots. Managed to test it and it seems to be dead-on.
does the m2k historically have NCTR like the new su30? I feel like i saw that it did somewhere
Yes, it even got added to the French Mirage 2000Cs sometime in 2000s. DCS Mirage 2000Cs even have this modeled.
Mirage 2000s are lacking in time-to-climb performance. // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000s are missing countermeasure sensor fusion. // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000s and Mirage 4000 have incorrect TWS maximum targets // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000s should have selectable fire rates for their cannons // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000s and Mirage 4000 have incorrect radar range scale // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000s are lacking in RWR coverage // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000s incorrect topspeed // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 4000 missing air to surface mode // Gaijin.net // Issues
Mirage 2000-5Fs are missing air to surface modes // Gaijin.net // Issues
I should note that all of these reports are done with new sources found by @Mulatu_Astatke so it couldn’t have been done without him.
Poor guy still hasn’t looked at all the sources I’ve given him for the other Mirages or the Alpha Jet…
He just doesn’t have time. The rafale and mirage 2000 can’t wait
You’re up there holding the weight too with all the sources you’ve given me
It is now confirmed (article in french) that the ukrainian mirage 2k5f can carry aasm but it’s probably not enough for gaijin for now.
This sum “will be used to deliver 155-mm shells and AASM gliding bombs for the Ukrainian Mirage 2000s,” he explains.
Also 20G max overload ? ;)
Mirage 2000 getting some love thanks to DirectSupport, thank you man
Doesn’t this make them the fastest on the deck as well?
