@DirectSupport Excuse me for bothering you, I saw that you made the bug report a long time ago regarding the addition of the DDM to the Mirage 2000, do you know from which standard the system was installed ? I am making a suggestion for the 2000C S1 and I can’t figure out if it is compatible with it.
Technically, since it is just attached to the pylons of the Magic, there shouldn’t be any problems.
Because the average WT player didn’t read Sun Tzu’s cult classic “Don’t fight if you are going to lose.” and will invariably treat you as a free attacker instead of respecting the FM and then dogfight you in a F-4S with full bomb load.
Was used in Bosnia after one Mirage 2000C had been taken down by a manpad. But otherwise yes official documents since stated that it’s been on the twin seater versions. Mirage 2000-5F I have not seen using it but it is compatible even with the MICA pylons.
Nah it does lock up pretty badly at speed it’s not just you. Entering a merge above 900 km/h means you’ll be making circles the size of texas and still accelerating.
With the newer FM of the M2K, you can’t just dogfight at high speed with full engine power. The M2K does have decent airbrakes and using them to stay at around 800kph still makes it one of the best dogfighter in general, especially for the C variants which stand at below top tier ranges and where the main competition will mostly be the F16As.
it feels heavier in slower speed, in before FM, the FM pretty much can win most two circle fight as long you’re not fighting Gripen (hell, you can even beat Gripen if you try harder thanks to better T/W).
hi, does this get better with expert crew, having a great time with my shiny m2k sc4, but the constant blacking out + compression is sometimes a bit of a gigantic pain in the rear lol
Generally speaking, the air belt is the best for DEFA (unless you want to do ground attack, but these cannons are not really suitable for that).
For your previous question about blackouts, it improves a lot with the level of the crew and when you unlock the anti-G suit. On the other hand, it remains a delta wing and it is possible to blackout even if everything is maxed out.
So the missile has one of the shortest guidance start times with 0.5s (among ARH missiles) so in theory you can use it at short distance, however you have to take into account that the missile has to accelerate for a time. So it will entirely depend on the conditions in which you fire it, if it is on a Head On it should work but if the plane is heading at 90° to your trajectory it probably won’t work
Personally, I try not to use it for less than 4 or 5 kilometers, favoring the Magic 2 (except in special conditions and Head On)
