Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

For what i see most people prefer to keep MICA-EM until MICA-IR can be added(not this forum)

I think it was too early to add the RMV in the game

Well,I think there’s still one week left.Hopely they can add new weapons such as AASM if they want to remove MICA-EM.

Absolutely. It may be an old platform but it is some advanced weapons, I know it’s very different but the Mirage 2000D R2 would have been a better addition for a top tier strike aircraft that lacks advanced missiles. Or they coulda just renamed the original addition to 2000-9 or something

I agree. But they already did it.

Anyway, if the RMV drops to BR 12.3 I will go to the ARB with just the Magic 2.

I feel like it might be updated as early as tomorrow, and it’s not impossible to delay until next week

They just added pre-oreder yesterday so it’s almost impossible to be tomorrow

Ok,… so you prefer to have access to specific but ahistorical missiles onto any aircraft, just because “Gameplay” ?

No my boy,… the aircraft can be balanced out in Air-Air modes BR waiting up the MICA-IR.

doing things your way will just increase the incomprehension of people the day you make the change,…
As larger but unknowledged people will get the Mirage 2000D RMV they will be outraged when the Missiles will be removed/replaced by a Pair of missles.

The Mirage 2000D RMV never carried more than 2 AA missiles(and not 6 as per Devserv), let alone Radar based one.

The MICA-IR model already exists in CDK for years now.

And as told in the past, we can get a Slower aircraft at toptier with few but “better” missile than BR counterparts → Su-25’s/A-10’s/A-6E/AV-8’s
(“Better” : because dispite all efforts, the MICA-IR for Mirage 2000D RMV remains a short range missile, no 60km effective range)

No problem with that

I just want to say that there are many vehicles that are not historically because of gameplay.I don’t support this but Gaijin does:(

Your idea is beautiful, and it can be balanced under air-air, but whether gaijin can be realized is another matter, and the worst case is still 13. 7 remains unchanged. Also, under the land war of 12.7, magic 2 clearly lacks the ability to attack or defend against enemy aircraft at a distance.

This bomb is more likely a GBU-50/B, for having made the bug reports about the missing armaments on the aircraft, it is extremely difficult to find images of Mirage 2000 with 1000lbs guided bombs, they are always 500lbs (GBU12 or 49) or 2000lbs (GBU 24 or 50), same for the GBU-22 which are well usable but rarely equipped.

It seems to me that the French army’s stocks of 1000lbs bombs is very low and that’s why few images exist (The contract to equip the GBU 48 and GBU 50 on the Mirage 2000D was signed by Raytheon in 2018, it would not be surprising if only a few bombs were delivered), the same for the GBU 22 which was only ordered in small quantities (And is mostly reserved for the Rafale)

Man i wish we could get this camo as in game camo rather than just user skin, it looks so good on Mirage2000 Family.

unchanged on devserver (all is WIP on Devserver, nothing is definetly made)- wait up live one,…

do you even think Gaijin would literally put this aircraft at 13.7? It is recalled everytime that Dev Server is subject to change. We still have a week before patch day, the Dev Server is closing doesn’t mean the dev period is over, it’s just now Gaijin working harder to develop it internally.

Is that really the case? I can only hope so, but please be prepared to go online and see DRVM in its current state (unfortunately)

I would certainly be happy to see Gaijin make changes to DRMV

Brimstone range is closer to 12km and not much more than what you can get from a helicopter.

Purely limited by guidance time.

Yeah that’s why it’s subject to change, by performance wise, because the main difference is that the DRMV can guide missile via HMD, at maximum this would go for 12.3 BR.

Less air to air offensive armaments but better defensive subsystems compared to the 12.3 M2K CS4, seems that would be fair for a BR placement.

Fundementally, I think the issue with the RMV as some have pointed out is that the weapons that make it “unique” are either too advanced for the current state of the game (MICA IR), or should not be able to be used in ground battles (AASM Hammer), which effectively just neuters the jet.

I think gaijin really really needs to start putting effort into expanding the current air EC mode (such as sim) with bigger maps and more diverse and complex objectives, along with brining the gamemode to air RB, and begins limiting munitions to certain gamemodes. As it stands, many strike aircrafts are beginning to look too strong to be fair or balanced in GFRB, while coming to the game devoid of unique and interesting munitions simply because there is no balanced way or in some cases, gameplay reasons (such as the case of the Grom-1E cruise missile the russians almost got) to implement them in-game.

The general WT gameplay loop and overall game design appears to largely be the factor getting in the way of future implementations into the game at this point, which, with any luck, might finally get gaijin to slow down a bit and start improving the game instead of just cramming as many vehicles into the game as fast as they can.
