Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

What actually happened is I tried to get this addressed quite awhile ago. You hijacked the thread claiming the AIM-7 is not missing and tried to make it out that it’s JUST a 530D issue.

If you had worked with me and the people contributing maybe we could have made more progress on this issue…

Can y’all move this conversation to DMs or the proper thread before we have to get forum mods involved?

I never made that claim. You did.

Nowhere in this did I say anything about the Matra. Nice try though…

Been awhile since I did a list of things that are still unfixed, but I’ll limit it down to the Mirage 2000-5F and its equipment.

Things we can expect the Mirage 2000-5F to get changed on in the future.

General:
Countermeasure increase
Missing MAWS

Radar:
Missing raid assessment mode
Increase radar bar height
Air to ground radar modes
Targeting data for 4 targets
TWS Auto

Missiles:
Magic 2 50G combined plane
Magic 2’s IFOV lowered
Magic 2’s seeker shut-off implementation
MICA EM directional splinter warhead
MICA EM’s low/reduced smoke
MICA EM’s low speed
MICA EM’s instability
MICA EM’s flame color
MICA EM missile should have increased maximum range
MICA EM should have reduced guidance delay

You should get into sim and you won’t have to see it ;)

We got close tò the 50g Mark with this patch.
I studied my replays on the 2000c S4 and noted that the missile, now, if needed, can actually get to the 50g mark.

Can confirm, Magic II will often pull upwards of 48 Gs for a little time but multiple times during tracking. It’s just so strong, basically ASRAAM baby (very manouverable non TVC fast accel missile)

Ive seen some screenshots of Magic 2 occasionally peaking at 50Gs, but hopefully they do model combined manueverability to allow for sustained 50Gs which would make it more usable during dogfights.

not low smoke. med smoke

I think that falls under the “reduced smoke” that he mentioned

kinda hoping they add the mirage 2000-5f mk2 with rdy 2 and keep the current mirage 2000 5f where it is

The manufacturer of the missile explicitly stated “low smoke”. Perhaps you’re confusing it with smokeless which is what you see on the AIM-9M.

Smokeless
Low or reduced smoke
Regular smoke

AIM 9M is reduced smoke

Aim-9M doesnt produce visible smoke from distance except in certain scenarios which makes it pretty much smokeless in most cases.

Yeah but its called reduced smoke so if MICA is also reduced smoke it should be similar to 9M

You need to compare both missiles in exact scenarios to see if they produce same amount of smoke or not.

Otherwise you can just say it should be same as Aim-9M.

Well that will be hard but i was just pointing out that 9M is reduced smoke as well
