The MiG-29 SMT-R 9.19R is a further modification of the 9.19 SMT for the Russian air force with the R meaning its a modification for the Russian air force. With the main modifications compared to the original 9.19 model being an installment of an upgraded variant of the Zhuk-M/ME known as the N041R, With the main upgrades of the N041R being it receiving improved transistors and software + integration of more advanced air to air weaponry such as the R-77-1 when compared to the FGM-29 N010ME Zhuk-ME found on the original 9.19 model. Another set of modifications was the removal of the formation lights, and the installation of the L-150 RWR and UV-05 countermeasure set. Although one regular 9.19 (red 22) is to have received these last two upgrades with the L-150 and UV-05 like the 9.19R. So if you see a SMT with the L-150 and UV-05 the best way to distinguish between them is either look if it has formation lights on it or not with the 9.19R having these deleted. And see the paint scheme if it has a gray and green camo with blue airframe number its a 9.19R. Unlike the 9.19 which has formation lights with a light gray and dark gray camo and a red airframe number its a 9.19.
