When describing graphs 6.14 … 6.15 , the following is indicated

Which corresponds to the nx graph for an altitude of 2000m, only adjusted for 1000m

The value of nx for an altitude of 2000 m at a speed of 950 km/h is 0.56. Then for a height of 1000m it will be at 800km/h

Yeah that’s the issue, at higher speeds the 2 charts match, but at lower speeds the 6.14 has FAR worse results than the 6.4 .

The MiG-29 we have in game seems to be close to the 6.14 chart, and by consequence is underperforming a lot compared to 6.4 (the one with Пx)

Well if 13000kg was the weight for all the tests in the chapter, that’s the best assumption we can make for 6.4… the weird thing is that even if the weight for 6.4 was empty weight the difference in Пy overload compared to 6.14 at 500kph is still too big (4G/5G = 0.8, 11900Kg/13000kg =~0.84), especially considering that we are at 2000m where engine thrust is inevitably lower than 1000m

Yeah, it is a bit weird. Would have been awesome if they included points on their graph that were found through flight testing and their methods for extrapolation.

Yeah… I could try to do the math since at the 2nd chapter of the manual we have Cy to AoA, Cxi to Cy (induced drag in relation to the lift coefficient), but I would need help to find a graph for parasitic drag coefficient.

Also idk if Gaijin would accept it (although maybe it could help us understand what the charts are about)

168^2/2)*38=593N
P=14620 kgs=143422,2N
Ny=sqrt(146620-13049)/593.15=15G

WT’s MiG-21 model is completely in line with the IRL performance of the MiG-21

Mig21 is a 7G aircraft max and will utterly lose control and die if pulled more. However, it can pull double in the magical world of WT at 14Gs. How do you figure? The F16 or Mig29 does not even pull double what it can IRL.

Are you talking about its characteristics? Sure I guess.

MiG-21 flies pretty much exactly as outlined in the manuals, same cannot be said for F-16 or MiG-29 where the F-16 is severely overperforming and MiG-29 is underperforming. The overload limitations are applied using the same standard for all aircraft unless otherwise specified in the manuals.

We spend hours collecting sources and materials. We do in-game testing and comparisons using primary sources and a multitude of studies… You refuse to speak because you actually have no basis for your claim.

The information I have states 8.5G maximum overload for MiG-21, which means the in-game maximum limit of 12G static (sustained) is actually a bit low. Should be increased to ~12.75

This is an “opinion”, but it is also wrong and it is also misinformation… which I refuted with evidence because there was zero chance you were going to provide any (lest you prove yourself wrong).

Again, the rest of your statement has nothing to do with the thread. Your personal opinions of me or the erroneous and obviously incorrect statements about the aircraft are not relevant to the discussion. Let’s keep those to DM’s and other forms of media where they are more appropriate.

Its not technically wrong according to an egyptian 21bis manual max G over mach .8 is infact 7g however below that it is 8g (dunno why youre manual says 8.5g Ive never heard of a 21bis being 8.5g tho the MiG-23ML is 8.5g) anyways gaijan goes with the heighest max G which in this case is 8g which would come out at 12g in WT

Im going to add onto this and say 8.5g appears in some secondary sources so its likely it could have been raised to 8.5g later in life at some point, either way the 7g figure seems to be just a misunderstanding of how the G limits change with speed

Agreed, I also have a Mig21 pilot interview who owns the mig21 in his personal collection of fighter jets specifically speak on the manual and getting it translated stating 7Gs. it can be due to his variant. It was no Bis btw.

And likewise the standard is held on all aircraft in the game with the exception of the F-16 thus far and to my knowledge. Regardless, his nonsense is intentional bait and derailment.

F-16 G loads seem inline with the IRL 1.5x issue, the flight model’s issue is just ignoring its AoA limiter which if it did IRL would cause it to spin out, though this only affects sim and not air rb which instructor never pulls more than 22ish degrees AoA

Until the properly model the FBW I would think.
