i want double seat mig29 as a squadron. m2 maybe
Also an interesting pick. Although this one is made out of 9.41 so we have even less countermeasures than Su-33
From what I know, the MiG-35 designation is used for the export variant, while the MiG-35S designation is for domestic use. Isn’t that the case?
it seems so heres an domestic MiG-35 with the designation MiG-35S on the sign
meanwhile UAC website still uses MiG-35 only like on the old export attempts

Hm, interesting. How old is this exhibition?
photo is from august 2023 at kubinka
Mig29 m2 would be great as squadron. But limited to r77 for 13.3.
Does mig29 9.41 single seat exists?
i thought it was found in files like AIM-120D at some point. my bad
Ah thats why i never trusted myself.
Confusing with them using same cockpit.
yep, all 9.41 based planes use the same canopy and on the single seat version the back seat is replaced with an 630L fuel tank
I see the 9.19 curse is still alive
I said it was the basis.
it was the basis of the soviets modernisation program for their aging/inferior 4th gen fighters, sorry that i worded it so weirdly.
The 29M still predented a lot of new Design choices and ideas.
The RD-33OVT and RD-33K engines where far superior of the old base RD-33, offering roughly 500kgf more thrust per engine, wich was amplified by the much more effecient air intake.
I am also not shure if the AL-31FP came before the RD-33OVT
From what i can find the OVT engines designed where finished and produced in 1991 and first shown to public in an opperationa setting in 2001.
Being fitted into the 6th of the MiG29Ms somewhere inbetween 1991 and 1994.
The AL-31FP was first conceptualized in 1992 and its production units assembled in 1997.
The 29M also presented the test chassy for the R27A A2A missile - a fox 3 variant of the R27R.
Plans to fit it with the R27EA where made - but abolished when the R77 went full service, filling the need of a Fox-3 before the R27EA ever rolled out on production.
So generally speaking it was still a testbed for a lot of new technologies that the soviets seeked out to add to their airforce, shifting their doctrine from Ground, to pilot dependent like in the West.
I think this plane shouldve been added quite a long time ago.
Right now adding this plane in any reasonably competitive manner would require some unhistoric Weaponry like the R27EA or R77-1, wich imo would be cool - but at the end of the day unhistorical.
Fortunatly for us Fulcrum enjoyers the MiG29M brought a whole new airframe and flight performance with it.
It had a different center of mass, much higher critical AOA, less parasitic drag and most importantly lots more lift and wing/control surface area.
So gaijin will have to rework its flight model regardless
Does this mean than 2-seater is actually lighter?
wasn’t it mig-29 9-12 “970” that was used for r-27a testing?
this is grass, there is no any n001with phased array, first fighter jet with pesa is 1.42 with n014 radar
al31 is a modernised copy of rd33
n014 is even more vapour ware than the pesa of OG su-27.
First real pesa radar on a russian fighter jet was n011m of su-27m bort 711/su-37
2 completely different engines for different purposes
i guess yeah, also migs site is listing 200kg less on normal take off weight when compared to the single seater, and range is also lower

wdym grass? N001 with PESA dish was installed in december of 1980 on T10-4 airframe and did first R-27 launch 23 of may 1981 and first R-27T launch with radar slaving 4th august of 1981. N001 recieved its first cassergain dish in august of 1982, with the first dish literally being taken from N019 radar.
now you gotta provide source on this hilarious claim
lmfao fair enough
