tbh i think the 156 prototype will be more doa with how much the 13.3 bracket has evolved, when compared to the Su-30s at that BR
154 in its mig-35 config will be a 14.0 leaving it competing with the mirage 2k at that BR

156 at 13.3 will be menace actually.
Its has better engines and flight performance than regular MiG-29’s which even 9.12 slaps the shiet ouf regular 30’s in that department while bein able to carry 8 missiles, better radar and 120CM alongside with L-150 Pastel.
Prototype 156 will be easily one of the best 13.3 out there.
difference is that 154 retains all the great things about the OG mig-29m while also getting mig-35 avionics
while 156 only gets tvc and if gaijin reallyyyyyyyyy stretches it, wing tip r-73s. It’s stuck with base mig-29m avionics from the 90s
That is OST version iirc.
Normal 156 version does have smiliar radar you can find on Yak-141, has double amount of countermeasures, 8 missile hardpoints, improved engines and L-150 Pastel with improved handlings.
At 13.3 that thing is basically menace.
MiG-35 on the other hand will be at least 13.7-14.0 minimum which at that br I’m afraid it will most likely struggle.
it is made from 156 airframe.
Well, Yak-141 right now has incorrect radar, but yeah, it will be correct for 29M
This is only claimed for production versions, pre-production airframes didn’t had the full kit, this will be yet another “russian bias” case for our beloved US mains to point out.
Another bit of controversy. There are sensors on wingtips of 156 that look very similar to L-150 antennas, but no solid proof of it being so.
13.7, apart from undertiered Su-30s that gaijin uses to farm money from hamsters there are no jets with more than 6 Fox-3s at 13.3.
Yea but its not the regular 156 model.
Tbh calling this Russian bias would be huge stretch, for example Su-37 also wasn’t equipped with countermeasures but kit was also there and it can take either 96 large caliber or 192 regular CM’s and considering this is just a minor detail I dont think it will cause huge issue.
As far as I know @tripod2008 found enough sources to prove that 156 model actually recieved L-150 during uptades.
Well considering top tier is getting strechted to 14.7 it will be still great plane at that br but in this case MIG-35 will be at least 14.0-14.3 due to its improvements.
Well, there is no “regular 156 model”. It is a specific airframe in a specific configuration. But gaijin can just take it in its 1991 form for a MiG-29M, same as airframe 155. They differ in cockpit layout but that’s about it.
As if something like this never happened again.
Personally, i am all for 9.15 and 9.41 Fulcrums to be added into the game, having Advanced MiG-29 airframe would be amazing and it will finally make MiG-29 with competitive performance all around.
I don’t think it will struggle at 14.0 tbh
120cm
2 x 9000kgf engines
AESA
R-77-1 while only able to use 6x + 2x R73s it’s still a great load out, the trade with the base R-77 for a higher br is fully worth it imo
Also with 14.7 coming in now
35 doesnt get 120cm’s.
154 mig-35 is built from the 4th 9.15 prototype and still has the blanking plates installed on the dorsal spine over the intended mounts for its twin BVP-60-26 launchers
Yeah but current MIG-35’s uses much less Cm’s than 154 model, so far no 35 has been seen with more then 50CM’s.
All other MiG-35s only mount 32cm in total since they are part of the iz 9.41 air frame family developed from the MiG-29K 9.41 they differ drastically with how they are built when compared to the blue 154 MiG-35
Blue 154 MiG-35 is built of the iz 9.15 airframe which all 9.15 airframes were intended to be mounted with 120cm, but never mounted on any of the 6 prototypes
Why would the blue 154 get the lower amount from a different airframe type it’s not directly related to and not the same as it was supposed to mount in an earlier config?
blue 154 before the front end was rebuilt in to a twin seater:
F-4F ICE devblog moment
Please at least ICE can somehow rate and not loose all of its energy :D
its so over fulcrumbros

cant belive they are giving it to the yak and but not the fulcrum.

The Yak-141’s reign as the USSR’s only worthy 12.7 endures.
