I play the MiG-29 often enough to have an ace crew in it, and when i read it couldnt do basic loops i checked and it really cant do them without dropping to sub 400KM/H. Extremely bleak stuff.
Behavior below 500 km/h is erratic, jerky, as if the inertia buildup is too rapid with little inputs. The real plane is floatier, bleeds speed less during maneuvers, and does not stall suddenly and at low AoA like the in-game plane. The nose is far more receptive to changes in direction in real life without losing speed. It is hard to put into words, but you can watch basic aerobatics from airshows and try to copy them even with minimum fuel and it just is not possible. The airplane cannot complete the same maneuvers as seen on real video.

What’s the current state of MiG-29 reports?
With the F-15A and J moving to the same BR it’s current state without R-73 and horrible performance it makes no sense not to do something.
The R-27ER performance does not make up in any way the complete superiority of the eagle in everything from avionics to performance.
At the BR AIM-9M are much more opressive.
I don’t understand how come F-15A’s gettin br reduction while F2A ADTW still sits at 13.0.
First generation Eagle’s doesnt deserve br reduction just because player base dont know what they are doing…
to be fair the f-2a is much better than the f-15a.

F15J for example is straight up better than F2A despite not having AESA radar.
Only because AAM-3s. Give F-15A AAM-3s and it will be pretty much on par in ARB, apart from gun dogfights.

They aren’t marginally better tho. They bleed significantly less energy and this is extremely important for a missile like this. You can fire it from much fruther away, quite often beyond the average player “awareness bubble” which leads to increased effectiveness.

Whole thing is beyond silly. F-15J tho is worse than A when it comes to gun dogfights due to the weight. But for ARB it is probably better simply because of the AAM-3s. At least F-2 wasn’t on the list, thank god.
this new Mig-29N is compleately unplayable unless you want to shill out money to be able to get the R-77s

If the SMT is playable the 29N is playable, worse radar and RWR sure but you have a flight model to use the R-73 and R-77 with.
yeah and everything else at that br has better RWR more countermeasures and more missiles
you will have to adapt to the playstyle, its a very niche way of playing an aircraft but try to not be the centerpiece frag machine, you’re in a fulcrum. Be realistic and position well to use your missiles to their advantages.
Yes i know how to play the fulcrum. Ive played the SMT before but this N fulcrum is unbearabl. Plus the spotting system is really ass rn.
I’ve bugged the game into upgrading my loadout.
Now the 9-13 can carry R-77-1s, and an abomination Kh-29/R-27.
