Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection

misread as no missiles in the original post

Do all ub have no radar ?

they dont

why do you think the nose looks completly different

Still i can get the ub with r73 and irst. Would be a nice early cas.

Yeah…that’s a bad idea. Better ask for 29KUB

or even better

Mig-35

also it has no countermeasures and im kinda impressed the mig29ub suggestion on this website managed to gloss over this crucial detail

Gaijin doesn’t believe in existence of Fulcrums based on MiG-29M airframe

since you mentioned that I never noticed that before,

MiG-29UBT 9.52 could be interesting too, but only 2 was ever build, still no radar but you did get CM comp with it (on 2nd prototype)

Im looking at the MMRCA MiG-35 #154 (the one based on the 9.15 airframe) it lacks the normal 16/32 dispensers found on the normal 9.41/61 airframes, but it features the planned mounts from the 9.15s with having it mounted inside the spine. So it appears it doesn’t have any CM mounted in its current configuration but if it was to come to the game would it get the underside CM mounts or the spine mounted CMs?

80. is marked as flare/chaff dispenser on this drawing from the 9.15 thread:

It looks like it has LDIRCM which it implemented would practically get rid of the need for flares. (I could be wrong on the LDIRCM, just the bubbles on the engine nacelle and behind the cockpit look like it)

There has been talk about MiG-35 regarding it’s flares, but other MiG-35s have like 32x on the underside. I don’t think any topside flares have been seen on it yet

Looks more like a maw sensor or laser warning sensor. Ldircms are much, much bigger

What about the one on the left engine nacelle? It looks kind of like some sort of DIRCM

afaik it doesnt have a LDIRCM never seen that mentioned anywhere

true but thing is all other mig-35s are based on the 9.41/9.61s this one is built from a 9.15 air frame which was supposed to have flares mounted in the spine

That’s integrated irst pod/targeting pod

Ohhh that makes more sense

its the OLS-K

If you can someone prove that the panel where the flares would have gone doesn’t have some new electronics in it, and still is able to receive the flare pod then I guess that could work

imo if any 9.15 or 9.31 MiGs will appear in the game they should recieve 120 spine mounted countermeasures as it was originally planned.

#154 in its MiG-35 config + spine mounted CM would be very nice to have
