so why should the 23BN contribute to the Mig-23M KDR when it is much closer to the Mig-27 and a worse version of it?
Not counting would be cherry picking favorable conditions and records for the MiG-23 family, you can do this for many other aircraft to make their combat records look way better
technically mig-23bn is closer to the mig 23 ml than the mig 27 cause it uses the upgraded ml wings and engine, while technically not being a direct predecessor to the mig 27
