Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection

Low speed while flying straight.

Yeap, it Instructor trying to prevent jet from stalling by nosediving and gainin speed. Try speed accelerate to about 300 before turning off the maneuver mode

That is mkaking it mostly obsolete sadly.

Physical shipping only within a country that is on the other side of the planet.

When did they rename the SMT radar to the N010? Used to be called the N010M before didn’t it?

Yes, as it should have.
The N010 was the radar of the Yak-141 and MiG-29M 9.15 (I think maybe the 29K too)

The N010M should have better capabilities

Will Gaijin pull Su-33 move to MiG-29 Sniper?

Is there any proof of the MiG-29SMT with the 8 hardpoints for missiles? Itd be really cool if it had em

“Super Fulcrum” ngl I do like the Sniper, but it doesn’t deserve that title, as main upgrades were electronics, importantly RWR, western weapon integration as well as newer HMD, with a proposed newer (but not attached) radar

Wdym by that?

I think they meant that theyll make it a premium/squadron vehicle instead of making it a tech tree vehicle

Mig-29Smt has only 6 hardpoints

the Mig-29K has 8 hardpoints or the mig-35 as well

Any mig 29 based off the mig-29m model will get 8 hardpoints

… isnt that just a MiG-29M 9.15 or 9.61?

Super fulcrum does in fact make 0 sense

The Super fulcrum is the unoffical nickname of the Foxtrot (MiG-35)

Fulcrums apparently are not forgotten!
Maybe there is a chance that russia finally gets a new fulcrum too.

in WT its unfortunatly such a underrepresented jet, despite being one of the most manufactured 4th gen fighters in the world

On the first post when i looked over the SMT info they said 8 hardpoints for missiles… so i was wondering if it was actually true.

Considering that Italy currently has 0 squadron aircrafs and Romanian stuff mostly goes there… There is a chance. But it’s gonna be what, 9-12A with NATO RWR and maybe Lima Sidewinders? If Romania ever purchased those, Wikipedia says 9M/X are in service.

It could get the magic 2 iirc

Well, considering Germany has 9J on a lot of the aircrafts for “balance purposes”, giving it Magic 2 is not something out of the ordinary. Although it will just make it a different flavour of MiG-29G

Well that’s only for IR missiles, it would still be able to use the r73 and is also able of using the Amraam
