i agree with that, my problem would be if the britsh tt got the 29k at the same time as russia/ussr tt, maybe 2 patches later or 3 it would be ok imo (same thing with the su30mki)

I would be semi-okay with it maybe as an event vehicle but nothing else. Even then I’d like it to be a Russian event vehicle… I’m a Kiwi and I hate how the commonwealth countries are spread across multiple trees but I really just want vehicles into their native countries except for when it’s not present, then it needs to go to where they have the closest relation/best spot. Ie ANZAC vehicles to the UK. Nonetheless I love the MiG-29 so any MiG-29 I would love to have

the later unfortunately, against any competent f16A, f14, m2k, m4k the mig29’s will be struggling even with a good pilot. Against people who dont know what they are doing then yeah it can smack things around
please for the love of god no more indian aircraft for british, its basically as bad as giving a full subtree of soviet equipment to US TT as they are one of the only pure blue side nations, the cross pollination is bad enough with the minor nations having everything. Not quite the same for rb but for sim its seriously annoying

For a small breakdown, its pure performance in dogfights is comparable to the F16D.
Its not horrible, but its really just not good at all, probably lower mid spectrum when it comes to FM at top tier.
Its weapon kit is laughable in the current top tier with only 6x AAMs, only 2 of which are BVRAAMs.
(taking the MiG-29G here as it got the best FM with a still decent loadout)
Same with its Avionics kit - probably the worst at 13.0 and above, with both the worst radar and RWR (not counting the Viggen here, lol)
Its TWR is really good tho and as long as you stay above 900km/h you really can do some shit against slower targets.
The top speed is pretty incredible for how bad its FM is, the 2nd best top speed at top tier on the deck with roughly mach 1.3 (only beaten by the Eurofighter)
Unfortunatly its fuel economy is so bad that it wont get to those high speeds very often, if at all.
An overhaul from the Devs for this aircraft would imo be really benefitial, especially with newer editions like the MiG-29M, MiG-29K or MiG-29K for the Techtree and the MiG-29OVT as a possible Premium/Event aircraft in the future.

Some 4th gen aircraft (f16a, f15a) overperform so that makes the 29 feel underpowered, there’s also the instructor which forces you to pull an unnecessary amount of aoa making the plane lose too much energy, a mechanic that allows you to adjust the amount of aoa in the instructor would fix that issue but we don’t have that, but you can use trim which helps a lot on 2c duels.

It is, but I’m a British main so it’s what I have to deal with. Anyway, back to the Fulcrum! Is there any way the 9-12 could get R-73s? Sorry I don’t know much about it.
It was supposed to get it from the beginning, however back when they added the mig29 the r73 was kinda screwed so they decided to maintain the r60s and give it r27er instead to “balance” the game.
I think the 9.12 and 9.13 will never recieve the r73s ingame again, i waited for a long time for them to add a new variant for Russia cuz the SMT is too fat but they didn’t, so i decided to grind the mig29g lol.

I think it would be okay to give the 9-12 the R-73 and remove R-27ER, so maybe a maximum loadout of 2x R-27R/T and 4x R-73. We already have Magic 2s at 12.0 so it wouldn’t hurt.

I mean the other option would be add it R-73s as is, and put it at 13.0, and decompress top tier BUT WE KNOW THERE’S NO WAY THATS HAPPENING. Only likely thing to happen will be Fulcrum 9-12 gets R-73s, goes up to 13.0, and gets sucked into 14.0 black hole.
As far as, after MiG-29SMT (9-19) and BR 14.3 minimum. but wait 2 or 3 years and after gaijin add MiG-29KR

the MiG-29G irl went toe to toe with the F16C
the 29G has 10% less thrust than the A irl, which would mean that the MiG-29A should beat the F16C consistently.
Its engines ingame produce not enough thrust, at only 6800kgf per engine instead of the 7500-8000kgf mentioned in 3 different charts in the Handbook.
