Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

Or do a Fiver for some indian dudes to put 8 R77 on their Mig29K… (don’t)

Arent harms much heavier? Max takeoff for Russian Mig29k is listed as 4500kg and 5500kg for indian (maybe due to their carriers being different)

nah you just need to pay them to put 2 on the outermost pylons

PPL would say inner pylons are only for HARM missiles xddd… next thing would be if someone figures out how to do unversal pylons and makes Su25 carry 10 R73 or that one useless pylon on Su30MK*

And imo outer most pylons must be on some kind of ‘overload’ mode anyway due to extra stress from drag leverage

No, Su-27SM completely shits on sufa
it’s not even a question lmfao.

Su-27SM is better than most if not all 14.0 aircraft even
at least when put head-to-head

There’s like 3 14.0 aircrafts in the game (if we count all late C hornets as a single one). And while SM most likely walks over Hornet, I don’t think that it’s as one-dimensional when it comes to Mirage or F-15E.

Outside of Mirage 2K I’d agree with that, but this is not that great of a comparison. Su-27SM, with its relatively poor radar, the worst RWR coverage of any digital RWR and short range Fox-3 missiles has steeper learning curve than something like F-15. Yes it has R-27ER to cover long range, but using Fox-1 effectively in a Fox-3 zone is an acquired skill, not a given.
With that in mind I can’t simply say that Su-27SM is the best aircraft in the bracket.
