Exactly. But because of muh realism we cannot get tweaks for jet armament n stuff. Aim-7M looks like 90M autoloader in wt for me
tbf we’re so used to it that planes in the game that don’t have it look less real, too smooth
it’s not, i killed 2 Su-30MKs from long ranges, one from 45km, one from 25-30, can’t remember exactly.
I also scored 45-47km shot on F-4S but this is way less impressive

Lets be honest you killed bunch of vegetables because any person who has more than one braincell can easily dodge Aim-7M’s.
Also Aim-7P is much better than 7M due to having IOG, just like R27’s.
One Su-30 did employ anti-missile maneuvers tho. Just waaaay to late, Sparrow was pretty much in his face at that moment

I remember years ago I killed an MiG-29 from almost 50km in my F-16AJ, guy was basically flying towards me while sipping his coffee and watching some anime I believe.

Poor dude. But i think people hate on 7M more than they should. It performed very admirably while i was playing US air, from F-4J up to Golden Eagle
Nah 7M’s are fine, sometimes they do schizo things tho.
I actually quite enjoy the F-20, it’s definitely not the best but I think it’s fun.

The humble AIM-7F becoming an AIM-9X because your freindly who was nowhere near where you shot the missile looked like a better target.

Their seeker gets confused sometimes in target rich environment and quite often struggles with rear/slightly side locks (i just avoid using it at such angles entirely). Other than that it holds lock very well and often catches people who thought that they notched it. I killed Tornado from rear aspect in F-4J because he forgot to move after i lost the lock and ate sparrow that was flying without guidance
