Tbf it’s also easier for Gaijin adding MiG-35 since it’s pretty much like MiG-29KR.

I can confirm though there was a report called “Su-30SM2 missing OLS-35 features” that cot closed as not a bug.
report didn’t even have good sources to be fair, it was just asking for it given it had the IRBIS.

one thing they did with the MAKS 2019 MiG is that they put the old 9.15 wing on it when it was on display

Ah, well, in-service is MiG-35 with mechanical radar. Tech demonstrator is privately owned by MiG, and differs in terms of cockpit avionics (has different hud and that ultra-wide coloured MFD so you can watch your favourite show on the way to slap some F-22s out of the sky) and has AESA radar installed in it. But it seems to be fully wired so it is in the “technical compatibility” grey zone. Considering that we literally have Chally tech demo in the tech tree and AESA Eurofighters (not to mention the abominable SM2) I see zero problem in adding MiG-35 in tech demo configuration

Gaijin is gonna see this and model the MiG-35 based on the in-service ones but add on the AESA radar.

Logically this seems like the most expected outcome, after all HUD and cockpit of TD is designed for testing, not as a standard-issue configuration. Tho I would love to get that giant MFD

I actually didn’t notice that, pretty odd choice. Airframe is certainly 9.41, judging by the tail.
They also removed RWR antennas, as well as pretty much every other antenna.
Also wing seems to be from 9.15, not 9.15D, they cannibalised poor OVT?
yeah that’s exactly what I was thinking as well
i think the wing is from the 9.15D since it has the SOLO sensor below the red cover but they put some new vertical stabilizers for the display thats why there are no antennas
Second photo has a different wing. You can see folding mechanism cover on that one, as well as bigger flaps.
But tail indeed is completely different, with flat top and different sweep angle
yeah thats the original wing from after MAKS 2019 where they put the original stuff on again to make it flyable again
Photo of the TD is a bit blurry, I can’t say for sure that there are SOLO sensors present, compared to 9.15D
Yep, this one is much clearer. Indeed, this looks like 9.15D wing. But judging by the first photo, it might have slightly bigger flaps akin to 9.31 (you can see a small step between ailerons and flaps that might imply on a difference in surface area)
