Bruh there is so much evidence why would they go for the ancient circle

They probably switched out the modules so you got a bunch of old rp

Mostly unguided bombs and rockets and made them available stock

Because they have to ragebait MiG fans. People really wanted HMD for the 29K so we got the worst version of it

Genuinely felt like pure ragebait at the end of the Thales report

I cant wait for the MiG-35 to be added and it still use the ancient circle HMS.

@Balta779517-live this was the GaN based Zhuk I was talking about. Unfortunately the source on wikipedia is one you have to pay to read, so I can’t see it. :p

If you have any info, I’d love to see it. ^^

Mmm, to be honest, this is probably a decent way of fixing the MiG-29 FM issues, more or less. It is not just a simple “more lift” buff, because the base lift was actually reduced on several MiG-29 variants through the lower linear Cl coefficient. But the important part is that the aircraft now seem to use their available lift better.

For the MiG-29M, the biggest change is probably the improved elevator authority at high speed, the elevator controller went from 50% to 60% at 1000 km/h TAS and from 35% to 45% at 1200 km/h TAS. That means the aircraft can pull more AoA and reach more useful G at high speed, it also got a small high AoA lift improvement, with the coefficient of lift at high critical AoA going from 1.57 to 1.60, even though the critical AoA itself went down from 35° to 34°.

For the MiG-29KR, the improvement seems more related to energy retention. The Oswald efficiency number went from 0.65 to 0.68, which should reduce induced drag while the aircraft is generating lift. That should help sustained turn performance and make it lose less speed while pulling G. It also got better high AoA lift, from 1.59 to 1.65 clean, and from 1.92 to 1.95 with 100% flaps

So overall, even though base lift was reduced, the aircraft now have better usable lift. In the case of the MiG-29KR, they should also have less induced drag thanks to the better Oswald efficiency. The FM improvement mainly comes from better pitch authority, higher peak lift at high AoA and better energy retention, not just from increasing linear lift

it is not a perfect fix, but it does look like a positive change
