Btw i might be coping but J16 feels better than SM2 in fm deparment.
This thing flies much faster and holds energy much better.
Should be lighter + less draggy. So it makes sense.
Engines are also more powerful and produces more thrust at high altitude it seems.

He’s gonna disagree with you to the end of the earth, even tho you’re correct.
He can try to convince himself otherwise for as long as he likes, but we all know that the canards on Flankers are just a crutch for aircraft that struggle with takeoff

The only cool Flanker variant with canards is the Su-33/J-15, because it has a new wing; canards on Flankers with the standard T-10 family wing look terrible
I would agree, but the MKI derivatives also have a different wing that fits flush with the fuselage unlike those on the Su-27S, so it does look pretty good.

J15 aka Chinese Su33.
China doesnt have single original flankers with canards.
They only decided to use canards on J20 (not gonna include J10) which to me is the most hideous 5th gen design.
