Yeah, this is absolutely random bullshit, Bars-29 was literally N011M shrunk down to fit inside a MiG-29, and Zhuk-27 the other way around (tho it was called Zhuk-MSE by the manufacturer if i’m not mistaken)

I like having my Russian stuff in Russian so I can remember what’s what when I read about stuff or try and find sources.
One thing I eventually plan to fix is EVERY Russian plane saying “Самолёт” before their name.
Like, it’ll say “Самолёт Су-30СМ2” when you look at the SM2 in the Tech Tree.
According to the brochure was the Zhuk MSE for the Su30,this Zhuk MFE is a smaller version tho it doesnt say for what it was,on SPF is mentioned to be for the Mig29M3 and Mig35,but i also have a very limited knowledge on Migs

This sounds like a made-up designation, unlike Sukhoi, Mikoyan used numbers to differentiate between single and double seaters and not like modernisation stages.
Zhuk-MFE card on the photo says that it is designed for aircrafts of frontline aviation. This could be a MiG-29 (it was designated as a Lightweight Frontline Fighter) or could be something like pod mounted radar for Su-25/Su-39 (if it was ever restored for production)

Sounds consistent to me.
Su-27SM3 should have a 3rd man in the crew then, so is Su-25SM3

Yeah, because RP35 was supposed to be a smaller PESA radar for the Mig but idk which,only the bigger one being MSFE
Yeah but those have SM designations not just M designations so that’s entirely different.

S only is present in bigger versions of Zhuk designed for Sukhoi jets. Zuk-MSE with slotted aray and Zhuk-MSFE with phased array. S could stand for Sukhoi but there is no good proof for that

MiGs look amazing, but they are still not as good looking as Su-27s it’s just objective truth. Doesn’t mean that MiGs are ugly tho

Well, when raw performance is taken in consideration - MiG is indeed worse. It flies shorter, carries less, radar (of the same generation) is weaker. But it trades performance for price, maintenance cost, scramble time and ease of use. Which is quite important in real life and can be a dealbreaker

I was hinting at some guy on the Forums who made the claim that the F-16 was better than the MiG-29 since the F-16 was exported more.
Some of the buyers literally admitted that they were politically pressuredd into buying F-16 because it was so good and they were just stupid to not realise that /s
