Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25PD Foxbat-E — The Refined Foxbat

11.0 when the F-4EJ is 11.0 with better acceleration, general flight performance, combat speeds, and equivalent radar?
Let alone 11.3s that are even better.

The Mig-25 can’t win matches.
Granted, neither can the Sea Vixen, but at least with the Sea Vixen its lower altitude speeds are still similar to vehicles around it.

Mig-25 will be okay to good at 10.7, but OP it will never be.

yeah but the problem is a skilled player will use it as bvr plane, kinda like the f14a situation.

if it get a better radar/ more cms/ and a fuel tank/ rwr. i am 100% sure it need to go up at least to 11.0.

but for now its fine, not to forget gaijin tend to make event vehicules more op than the they should. exemple the f14 iran and the kifir c10 and even the bmd4.

The issue, just like with Sea Vixen, is it’s easily countered.
The most skilled player is still limited by awareness levels of enemies.
RWRs alone make it easy.
Staying below 7000 meters makes it easy.
Mig-25’s low IAS top speed, its slow acceleration, no gun, and zero agility make it worse than an F-104G in presence.

There wont be more CMs…only less (but better ones) if they will go according to historical accuracy. As for the radar, it is currently absolutely broken (even more than in the case of the MiG-23, what is already something to say). If they fix the radar, it will grow in BR. As for RWR, they probably want to keep it with the SPO-10, since the aircraft model does not have the SPO-15 antennas, which is good on the one hand because we may get a TT version in the future, which will be better.

you know i was watching yt yesterday and evertime i see a early acceces content creater to the mig25, they all have 62 cms. sure its not final model but it got 60 while some got 30 ?

They have currently 64 small calibre flares because Gaijin gave it 2x ASO-2. Irl they never used them. Irl they used 2x KDS-155 same as MiG-23MLD what is together 60 large calibre flares.

These can’t be countermeasures. Otherwise this would mean another MiG-25 that is not a PD got them.

@WalletWorrier get your buns down here asap and check it out. What he has in the video is not a PD for sure. Looks like an RB model. Need your opinion.

@csla1972 you as well

To me this does not look like countermeasures:

This schematic shows a MiG-25PD with a single flare dispenser. Gaijin might have used this as reference.

I hope they fix this, as flare dispenser are far more bulky than a regular wing fence. This creates uneven aerodynamic resistance per wing. I am fairly confident this is a mistake.

After a brief amount of digging this should be an RBS but I’ll double check in the morning

Guys support my bug reports!

Flares. Report CMs.

the flight manuals that I have don’t mention them, do you have one that does?

Just historic photographs for now. Photographs show them mounted on both sides of the aircraft.

@csla1972 need some help here.

Also can’t support the Mach limit. Soviet jets could easily exceed what was written on paper.

MiG-23 being one of em.

that’s fine, as in game planes are modeled based off the safety limits and not what was achieved IRL.

I have only photographs and secondary sources but all are consistent in this and list KDS-155 (60 large caliber flares - 30 on every wing)…it also fits with the photos. ASO-2 is non-existent on this plane. No mentions, no photos.
