I still think the MiG-25 is an amazing jet yep, if played to its strenghts you can really be annoying to others, to the point were some even RTB and leave.
Now that the spam is pretty much over, people are kinda back at flying at mid to high alt, and this thing in the early game can engage you from 30kms away.

Ngl the rwr of my SEM has saved me countless times from MiG-25s during the spam

The radar is also surprisingly hard to notch, like sometimes I had it keep a nice track even on notching + chaffing targets, and if you add that to the fact that R40r’s have IOG, even when they think they evaded they still get nuked.

Yeah, it’s crazy how this thing faces 10.0s… wish we got decompression but according to bvvd we prefer many bad matches over few good matches

I also hoped they’d decompress from 11.3/11.7 and up a bit, but instead they decided to now let some of those jets face Eagles.

I was playing the Swiss Mirage III with FALCO’s a lot lately, but it being at 10.3 I feel like it wouldn’t be funny to face the MiG-25, that br range has many ups and downs sadly.
Same goes for the Swiss F-5E I barely started playing btw

Never heard about R-40 being capable of DL relocks. Is it this hard to chaff Sapphire 25 and change direction to get away from the CW cone?

People doubted when I used to argue that the MiG-25 would work in the game and even be enjoyable, well well well.
I imagine even the MiG-25P is going to be fun if or when they add it.

Well, gaijin took some liberties when it comes to aircraft avionics, and R-40s right now overperform in some aspects (namely G pull) so we aren’t looking at the correct version of MiG-25

I wasn’t following the discussion, what reference do you have for 15Gs?
I think people were just negatively biased towards the plane so their negative expectations weren’t met. They were always expecting the plane to turn out like a spaceship on an earth orbit when it comes to maneuverability. It was also going to be marginally better than the F-104 at turning.

Its no that hard but I personally prefer distance 5-6km. Ideal distance to launch.
also the current in game MiG-25 flight model is over preforming
it still has too much thrust and acceleration, while also being able to pull more Gs than it should

If someone is from “speacial kids” gang - then sure. Or you are picking off targets at low energy state. Tho i’ll be fair - most of the time you do encounter aformentioned players at this br bracket
