but the point is that apparently the base r-37 hit a target at 162nmi which is around 260km and is stated to have a max range of 215nmi which is roughly 400km
which means that the 400km range figure for the r-37m actually comes from the base version
well, current “combat record” is 213km for R-37M. Tho it isn’t specified if this was the range to the target at the moment of launch or at the moment of hitting it.
I was talking about this before. Since R-27 only activates seeker at the later stage of its flight similar to ARH missiles it should be able to be launched in TWS mode
Surely the updates in tws would take far too long, as the missile would only receive an update every ~4ish seconds, though that’s okay for non maneuvering targets
