The maximum IAS limit for the MiG-25 was 1,300 km/h in real life. They gradually increased it from 1,100 km/h to 1,200 km/h then finally 1,300 km/h as the issues were resolved.

Technically, it could go 1,445 km/h at sea level while risking aileron reversal.

The mach limit is also a safety limit only. It could go mach 3.2 in real life.

Please don’t mess make them bottle it like they did with the Javelin Mk.9.

Also planes in game are modeled off their safety limit, just see stuff like typhoon that are allowed to pull 12 Gs in emergency but their in service limit is 9gs so it’s modeled in game as 1.5 x 9g

So if they accept your report as it is, they’re going to model it as the MiG-25P Early, which is basically the Ye-155P-3 prototype in low rate production, but with the later MiG-25PD armament.

The safety limits for the MiG-25 were extremely cautious and did not entirely reflect the aircraft’s capabilities. They were like safety limits on top of safety limits. Don’t make them bottle it up like they did with the Javelin and model its FM as if it’s strictly guided by GCI in real life.

That’s disrespectful and no he doesn’t. The majority of the time he’s accurate and if there’s a shortcoming in proofreading in his English editions, you can fill in the gaps yourself.

Don’t report it just for the sake of having fun. That’s the flight performance of the Ye-155P-3.

I just report what’s in the book. I don’t care about nerfs or buffs, I hate that kind of thing where people only report to only buff/nerf something to their liking

all i can find in manual is that speed can go up to 1230 kph technically

you typing this made me realize that it is not fking 500 percent, i misdid it.
Its actually 2.4 times overperforming/140 percent, nowehere close to 500 percent, i accidentally took the 21 second value of the actual video instead of the difference lmao.
50 seconds instead of 21 seconds

I figured, as in my quick read-over I didn’t see any way for that to be true. Anyways it would still be a substantial nerf, because I would assume the fix would significant nerf sustained turn as well.

ig the only way it could work is if they give it an air spawn at Mach 1.5+/15000m or they need to make an exception like the f16 where they removed the 9g limiter for it.

And yet gaijin uses this author as a source to remove Yak-28 flares.

You’re looking at the flight operations manual rather than the flight capabilities manual of the MiG-25.

The worst example of a botched aircraft is the Javelin. In 2018 (and it’s still this way to this day), they modeled the Javelin after its flight operations manual which explains how to fly the aircraft at maximum safety rather than describing the capabilities of the aircraft.

If they proceed with implementing the suggestions of your reports, we’re going to have a MiG-25 that’s limited by the Soviet PVO’s terrible GCI doctrine of the 60s and 70s rather than being modeled after the actual capabilities of the aircraft.

Mach 2.83 was the theoretical limit pilots were told to follow to preserve the engines lifespan when not in a test flight or emergency situation. The chief designer of the Mig-25 (and many migs), Rostislav Belyakov said in his own book MiG : fifty years of secret aircraft design that the aircraft could and did go beyond Mach 3 without issue.

I remember reading that a MiG-25 was flown at Mach 3.2 for about 5 minutes, and when the pilot landed they only needed to use a crowbar to open the canopy because the canopy sealant had burned out. No damage was sustained to his plane.
