also the N019 would have had to guide in the missiles by pulsing CW onto the targets while in TWS to update the IOG of the r-27
so it dosent fully guide them in but relies on the missiles IOG
well, current “combat record” is 213km for R-37M. Tho it isn’t specified if this was the range to the target at the moment of launch or at the moment of hitting it.
I was talking about this before. Since R-27 only activates seeker at the later stage of its flight similar to ARH missiles it should be able to be launched in TWS mode

Surely the updates in tws would take far too long, as the missile would only receive an update every ~4ish seconds, though that’s okay for non maneuvering targets
