see how mig-31 has less available g load. It’s cause of the weight, it’s a lot heavier due to the extra fuel

you’re basically trading pull for better acceleration. Mig-31 has roughly double the acceleration of mig-25 at say 8km altitude.

What I’m seeing here is Mig-25 can pull 3.2G at 20,000 meters going mach 2.5.
While Mig-31 can pull 4.45G at 18,000 meters going mach 2.5.
And at 10,000 meters…
Mig-31 pulls 4G at mach 1.3.
Mig-25 pulls 3.2G at mach 1.3.
Lower altitudes and low speeds? Maybe less, but I don’t know if that says the full story.

higher altitudes and higher speeds mig-31 pulls more, but lower altitudes and lower speeds mig-25 pulls more essentially
tbh i’m more concerned about its CM count, mig-31m for example only gets 24 countermeasures. Gonna be j-15t all over again

Going cold at Mach 2 would take significant time. If anyone gets into launch range against MiG-31 from side or front - it’s pretty much joeover
