you’re basically trading pull for better acceleration. Mig-31 has roughly double the acceleration of mig-25 at say 8km altitude.

What I’m seeing here is Mig-25 can pull 3.2G at 20,000 meters going mach 2.5.
While Mig-31 can pull 4.45G at 18,000 meters going mach 2.5.
And at 10,000 meters…
Mig-31 pulls 4G at mach 1.3.
Mig-25 pulls 3.2G at mach 1.3.
Lower altitudes and low speeds? Maybe less, but I don’t know if that says the full story.

higher altitudes and higher speeds mig-31 pulls more, but lower altitudes and lower speeds mig-25 pulls more essentially
tbh i’m more concerned about its CM count, mig-31m for example only gets 24 countermeasures. Gonna be j-15t all over again

Going cold at Mach 2 would take significant time. If anyone gets into launch range against MiG-31 from side or front - it’s pretty much joeover
even cranking would be enough to drain them off energy at this speed
With maps as big as Nuclear Thunder - maybe, but even on EC map it would be relatively simple to run MiG-31 down

honestly after seeing all this iron dome meta, i doubt R-37M and similar missiles will become that meta
With Su-35 being able to carry 6 at best - they will be intercepted pretty quickly i think. And 2 of them between nacelles will essentially rob you of 2 missiles as well

guys we have many versions of the Mig 31 and lets look what gaijin added: we thought the mig 25P would be added and if we were wrong it was going to be the little bit modern mig 25 and it would be a squardon vehicle but we were wrong they added the mig25PD as a event vehicle (the best version of the mig 25) so it would be obvious the most moddern or the 1990s model would me added MiG-31BM or the MIG-31B
