AIM-9X is unflareable. Like AIM-9Ls vs F-104As.
Even with multi-spectral flares those are only used on the more modern jets like F-15C MSIP, F-16C, but not on 29SMT, who knows if Sukhoi aircraft have them available, and so on and so forth.
BOL has multi-spectral tho.
Again, R73s exist on the 21 Bison, which suffers from a similarly bad FM as the 29. They are not an issue at 12.3. Magic 2s are found as low as 11.3 on the Indian Jaguar.
As of now, the early 29s are like I said, just a delivery vehicle for R27ERs. Nothing else.
R60Ms are already quite bad at 11.7 on the 23s and basically only net you kills against distracted people. Most of the time even these shots get flared on accident.
HMD is nice to have, but basically useless unless in very specific scenarios with the 27s, as they lack the close range pull of the 73s. The 73 is the reason why the Mig 29s have HMD in the first place too.

lolno Mig-29 is not a bad airframe. That’s like claiming F-16C’s airframe is bad just cause it’s not meta.
Jaguar and Mig-21Bis are not anywhere close to as good as Mirage 2000, F-14A, and Mig-29 in airframe performance.
