MiG-29OVT as pre vehicle or event

As F-20 Russia has their own good test bet fighters which can be add to the game and this is my suggestion about Russian TT. MiG-29OVT is one of the six pre-built MiG-29Ms before 1991, later received [thrust vectoring]engine and fly-by-wire technology. It served as a thrust-vectoring engine [testbed] and technology demonstrator in various air shows to show future improvement in the MiG-29M. It has identical avionics to the MiG-29M. The only difference in the cockpit layout is an additional switch to turn on vector thrust function. The two RD-133 thrust-vectoring engines, each features unique 3D rotating nozzles which can provide thrust vector deflection in all directions. However, despite its thrust-vectoring, other specifications were not officially emphasized. It is usually used as an aerobatic demonstrator and has been demonstrated along with the MiG-29M2 in various air shows around the world for potential export.
So it has no IRST search radar but the other avionics are same as at MIG-29M so it can be usable at 11.7 or 12 br as pre russian tt also the mig-29M can be add to tt

Time to revive this idea.

I’d perfer it as an Squadron vehicle or Tech tree…

Gaijin didn’t even give us “basic” MiG-29M version, so i am not even sure they will look into this one. Honestly quite funny that we get MiG-29 SnipeR that wasn’t even finished properly, but 6 airframes of MiG-29M and the fact that it finished first stage of state tests is not enough to introudce it to the game.

A winter event vehicle (OVT) together with object 640 that will be something.

Since in latest update we see F-2 for Japan and MLU 2 for sweden, the fact that the main MiG29M suggestion just got passed this month, and that stealth aircraft were leaked for the end of the year, i think it’s likely Gaijin will add the remaining MiG29’s (MiG29M or K and MiG35) in the next major update. If not then i don’t think we’ll see them. They’ve already added the relevant euro canards, the SU30sm, and the Hornets. This is the logical next step.

one can only hope, as we move into the new year
however, with the F-16XL tease, maybe there’s a possibility of a modified fulcrum such as the 9-15 or OVT

As much as i love high alpha demonstrators like this or the HARV. Being unarmed does disqualify it from being a suggestion.

OVT was made on a chassis of a pre-production batch of 9.15 airframes, all of them feature full avionics suite and fire control system.

F/A-18 HARV and the T-2CCV were both also built on combat ready airframes. On high alpha tests there needs to be proof of retained capablity because the norm is to either remove the pylons, the radar, or certain other things.

(If the gun is removed thats a fairly certain sign that the airframe was actuslly demilitirized, if it wasnt itd be way easier to assume weapon compatability was retained.)
