Can you tell us why Gaijin is hellbent on keeping all 9.12 MiG-29’s at the same br at the cost of giving them fake loadouts?
When IRL, the differences in air-to-air loadout would warrant different br’s for the Hungarian,German ones compared to the Russian version that had everything, unlike the first 2.
Losing the "fake " BVR missiles for the R73 would be a fair tradeoff. And it would also increase uniqueness.
I agree with you but unless gaijin added like a mig29 early with the r60s and the r27, it would arguably decrease or at least not change uniqueness at all
Multiple factors. Tree composition, BR spacings, balance considerations factoring in the data from MIGs across all the BRs we have.
The 12.7 MIG-29s mostly sit pretty comfortably at their current range and with their current kit. When an aircraft finds its natural leveled out position, drastic changes to its weaponry kit are far less lightly to take place.
I understand the rhetoric but this in turn makes the game repetitive, I get that taking risks with premiums isn’t ideal but at the same time a not unique premium, makes it less appealing.
And I’m not referring to the R-73 in this case.
In the case of premiums, its precisely why risk taking is especially not a good idea when the information is not clear at all.
There is currently no information to be clear on which “Western Weaponry” is applicable or specifically what “NATO Compatable” Weaponry apllies to Sniper.
As mentioned previously, reports with information that can provide direct clarity are more than welcome. But things that may define a certain BR or position wont be added that run a risk of having to be taken away for a premium without clear information.
Much like the Italian M60 that had to loose its stabiliser post release, we are very keen to avoid such situations ever again with premiums.
Lmao. Lame ass premium. Expected something better but i guess gaijob had other plans.
Appreciate Smin for keeping us updated tho
poor thing’s DOA without even having had time to be anything else than a sad plane
I know its not your fault and youre just here to keep us updated, but were getting a mig29 that is being refused western weapons becuase its not sure about those weapons *which is fine…
And also being refused its upgraded weapons which the airframe was built around using.
Just kind of annoying for people who have the trees dones but aint paying €80 for essentially an identical plane in the game for the 4th time
isn’t it kinda crazy that the su-33 at 13.0 gets r-73s and 8 r-27ers with a total of 12 missiles. while at 12.7 the mig-29 gets 2 r-27ers and r-60ms with 6 total missiles
gaijin can’t have a MiG-29 that isn’t the 9-12G perform well
From something I may have actually bought to just another thing to forget about. I don’t wanna play the same 29 4 times in a row.
You mean 2 total missiles
what do you mean. the mig-29 can use 6 missiles. if you meant that the r-60ms are usless, well they arent
So basically you are saying if the Mig-29 Sniper were to be at 13.0 BR like the Mig-29G (with R-73), then it wouldnt sell well because the Premimum Mig-29 Sniper at 13.0 would constantly face 14.0 which includes all the planes with fox 3 missiles. So essentially, to even have the ability to sell the Mig-29 Sniper at a ridiculously 80 USD, you have to make it 12.7 where it cant fave Su-30s, Eurofighters, and Rafales.
when are we gonna get the preorder for the sniper???
I dunno, but at that BR, it is one of the harder missiles to play well with. At much lower BRs, it is already easily defeated as it is one of, if not the most flare hungry missiles in game. Id say the 9L is slightly better.
The point is that at 12.7… the premium hornet has more 7Ps… which are quite good, with the notion, that yeah, its still a sparrow. It can carry 2-6 7Ps though. Than it can carry at least 2 9Ls… there is a loadout in which it can use 6x9Ls and 6x7Ps.
Not sure about other tech trees, all I know that France gets Magic 2s, which have IRCCM at even lower BRs.
Sweden kind of suffers with the Viggens, one of them is at 12.0 without amraams, the other two are at 13.0 with amraams. Goodish FM though.
This thing only gets a different RWR though, to set it apart from the tech tree, which is not nearly enough. It will play the same way the tech tree variant would play, with 2 good, if not the best SARH missiles, and mediocre IS missiles.
Give it the R73. At the very least.
oh wait, …?
shouldn’t be 2x9Ls and 6x7Ps?
Everyone is talking about adding missiles and its A2A ability.
So what’s the most efficient way to gain RPs? It’s base booming. Not only for its low requirement for skills, but also for its stablity.
When I was spading Hungarian MiG-29, I temporarily ate bases to get R27ER modification. And guess what, this’s one of the fastest to eat base, thanks to its powerful energy.
The only way to explain why gaijin insist Sniper to be 12.7, is to make bass booming easier. If 13.0, player are usually matched with 14.0.
You may think it’s silly. But from gaijin’s point of view, after some business evaluation, the most buyer of this plane are who need to grind Italy Air tech tree. I’ve seen lots of people reaching the top tier jets and knowing nothing about how to operate radar.
In short, if basemen are majority, gaijin just cater to them.
Anyway, it’s just my personal inference. As for me I will continue playing Hungarian MiG-29, and I personally don’t recommend to use it for eating base.
2x9L+6x7P i think thats one of the possible loadouts.
Or 6x9L+4x7P.
Yeah I havent played it for a while sorry xD
Does Gaijin see these kind post at all? OR (nah… you get 60MKs)
