The MiG 25PD is being added as an event vehicle as we all know. However, most event vehicles are tanks/planes that were either prototypes or niche vehicles for a special task (Sturmtiger as an example). But new tanks like the BMPT, which to my knowledge hasn’t entered serial production, are being added as tech tree vehicles. The MiG 25 wasn’t some small plane that the USSR produced for a short time, they produced 1186 MiG 25s. Please for the love of the game, Gaijin add it as a tech tree plane, not an event vehicle.

Nowhere does it say that event vehicles must be prototypes or limited production models
The MiG-25 is popular and it made sense to include it as an event vehicle so that most people would have a way to obtain it

Indeed. They will probably add MiG-31 as a regular tree vehicle.

I am not super well versed in Mig-25 models but I doubt there is only the one. So I’m sure we can expect to see another added to the tech tree in the not too distant future. Making the first as an event is a pretty good call, in my opinion at least.

That’s probably the approach they’ll pull out. The MiG-31 has a wider variety of missiles to use than the MiG-25, making it a more viable choice as a tech tree vehicle than the Foxbat for balance considerations.

Following the BMD logic. If the mig 25 comes out in Jan of 2026 then you will only have to wait till Feb of 2030.
Im not even joking the bmd took 4 years 1 month and 23 days to arrive after it was first promised
(albeit an even worse varient than the event one)
So perhaps in 2030 we can expect the worse varient of the mig 25 to arrive in early 2030.
Little detail though:
Neither MiG-25 or 31 were ever promised to arrive. If anything, they were always denied out of balance considerations. But by how they’re adding the Foxbat, it wouldn’t be crazy to have the 31 around shortly after.

Issue is that the only MiG-25 coming to the game for the foreseeable next few months is event vehicle. I am very happy to have the opportunity to get MiG-25 despite not playing the USSR TT. But I would feel alienated if I had USSR air up to the relevant BRs but not any MiG-25, despite one being added to the game. It’s a blatant cash grab by Gaijin to capitalize off the exclusivity of the aircraft and presumable high market costs. It’s possible money to the snail is good, however, the short-term impact is not kind to players.
What I’m saying here is: if they don’t add MiG-25 variants/derivatives in future updates, I won’t forgive Gaijin.
So? just have some patience.
