Idk, I maxed out the modifications for the Mig 23 BN for Germany. It gets annoying playing it sometimes, not the plane but the be it sits at and the other planes it competes against. It has no counters or missiles and turn rate is not the greatest. I get that it being super sonic is a main reason it’s br is 9.7 and there are other planes like it with a lower br of 8.7 (mig-21f-13). It is only the other plane in German tech tree with 9.7 be and I personally think it should get lowered to a be of around 9.0-9.3 wich I think should be fair for it’s armament and how it flys.

I advise you switch to realistic. The balance in arcade just doesn’t exist.
The BN is where it is because Gaijin doesn’t want attackers to be good in air battles, since their purpose there is mostly to farm and the last thing Gaijin wants is a fast grind without a premium

I have said this many times, the mig23BN should get the belly flare pod from the mig23MF and the R13M on the wing my pylons (not the r13M1, the regular R13M) and that way you have a solid 9.7 plane
I do it’s just after a while it gets repetitive of dying to a missile 5 miles away behind a tree (exaggerating)
Situational awareness is key. I main the French 10.0s, which all lack any sort of countermeasures, so I know the pain of eating a missile you didn’t see or worse, couldn’t evade at all. The only way to compensate is to always be highly aware of everything going on around you.
You just can’t expect any sort of balance from arcade, it’s just pure madness.
The fastest bomber at 9.7, easily runs away from almost every aircraft.
Mig-21F-13 is 9.3 and a significantly worse aircraft to the Mig-23BN.

It’s definitely not a good idea to put him in the same BR as the G.91Y, or even lower.
So you want essentially a 10.3, air load out at 9.7? No

10.0 if your being optimistic, the r13M is a 15G caged missile and even so it would only have 2 of them, no way that makes it 10.3
It’s literally a similar situation to the F-35 which is a striker fighter that’s too slow to bomb and only has 2 AIM-9N. The Mig 23BN even with 12CM should be 10.3 if they were to get those.
I love all your guys opinions and taking time to reply, I should have note that it’s for realistic battles . I also do agree that in some cases it’s because sometimes we make mistakes and die. However I just got thinking about the matchups that the Mig 23 BN gets put up against are a little unjust and the lack of counter measures from being historical and its flight performance makes it feel like the br could be put a tad lower without being to op. But I do like hearing your responses
