also they said they nerfed it, but to me it looks like they just did nothing since it still has the same maneuverability, range and kinematics of always.
i just got killed by a Rafale that was LITERALLY looking to the sky. it was just looking straight up while trying to get a HMS lock on me, and when it got it then it was just time for the MICA to do it’s job (and it did it well, i was at 10km but i never expected it to launch a MICA-EM at the angle it was).
MICA-EM is the only ARH missile with TVC, and just with mentioning TVC u know its good cuz R-73 has it and it can make some of the craziest kills in the game with just a single keybind touched to launch it.
should able to reach 80km → today hard capped at 50km (range)
should be able to do 110° off the rail, when doing HOBS → doesn’t even go for 70° today (maneuvrability)
should degrade less energy/seconds after the end of rocket, when launched for “long-range” (kinematics)
but yeah, in regards to those nerfs it does have a seeker, because it have been bug-reported,…
and that’s how French designed this missile
A 14.0 plane with 6xMICA outperforming every single 14.0 and 14.3, bar the only other MICA carrier, does speak volumes.

i disagree, that missile can do 90º turns
in my opinion it degrades enough energy for a french missile, which are normally big, and it still retains a lot of energy
the ingame performace of the MICA-EM is still excellent and everytime u play a match, it’s almost always a 4/5 kills match

France usually has bad radar guided missiles due to the seeker, such as R530 (which isn’t a bad missile imo), R530F and maybe R551 if u use it in the Mirage IIIC.
So it’s a bit weird that only France has a missile with a different seeker in the MICAs when, as i know, all ARH missiles (R-77-1, AIM-120, R-Darter, RB 99, PL-12, AAM-4, etc) have the same seeker, with the main difference being featured in the warhead of the missile, making it easier or harder to fool when launched from above (to multipathing enemies).
I remember it being in datamines where it talks about missiles’ seekers.
there is a singular french sarh that exists at a BR where it’s not common to be a pulse missile and its the 530F and even that will sometimes ignore chaff due to buffs it has received.

Rarely, but yes.
Whatever R530F is a very decent missile, not the best, but far from being the worst.
It’s very balances due to it’s almost non-existant chaff resistance, good maneuverability and enough thrust to reach unaware targets (which is normal since every single enemy will be unaware of ur missile).
