MI-28NM received DIRCM, protection against all missiles. DEV

Why is it ML lol? need to change to MT. Funny thing, I tested and if u just sit there, no IR SPAA can even destroy your vikhrs now. Obviously other SPAA can but they can’t dodge.

I would love to hear the justification to applying this to eastern block helicopters, and neglectiing to do the same for western ones which have the same capability.

I would also love to hear the justification for doing it the exact same update that (some of us) finally get better air defence systems.

Seems pretty indefensible to me.

There is one on the nose but it should lose radar.

Is that another version of the Mi-28?
That might be a LDIRCM but it would be strange to put it on the nose where it would be highly unlikely a manpad could come from.
But even then it’s not the version we have in game and it’s stupid OP anyway because it can distract however many missiles at the same time.

It’s the same Mi-28NM with DIRCM turret on the nose and dismantled radar.

In my opinion its skill issue. Because it really will be a lot of fun to play in the top tier and a SAM spawn kill helicopters , but as you can only see Russia did not even wait to see if the others will receive other versions or pods . Use the head that God gave you

Most likely it will deflect all missiles including the new AIM-120C-5 and AIM-9X.

Aim-9X far from what I know is a infra-red guided missile while the Aim-120C-5 is a active radar homing missile, unless the player uses a mix of flares and chaff, only the Aim-9X should be affected.

Only the Aim-9X is affected, Aim-120 may not hit due to the pulse-doppler effect because the helis are slow. But they are separate things

Yes, but AIM-9X does not go to chaff. But knowing Gaijin and her competence.

I mentioned chaff specifically to deal with Aim-120C-5, because I think multipathing is not the best strategy to evade active radar homing missiles in a helicopter.

As I said, you don’t need to do much, the helicopters are too slow and so the pulse doppler effect doesn’t work and the radar homing missiles can’t hit them. If you’re hovering or less than 150 km/h you shouldn’t even have a problem

Ka-52 has had DIRCM for what, 2-3 years now?

Oh no Russia getting more bias stuff they probably never had or could actually make work im shocked!!!

Time to add the AH64E with JAGM,Longbows and add AIM9X to the AH1Z.

No it didn’t.
Mi-28NM has DIRCM on live server and has had it for years.
Nothing has changed for DIRCM.

What has changed is IR AGMs which are now correctly impacted.

Sure, for BR 13.3.

No? They don’t?

It didn’t have any effect on IIR now Mi28 can do that.

so ADATS is better against helis than SLAMRAAM then?
bruh

YEah. Cause it doesn’t need PD. AMRAAMs weren’t designed for heli anyway. Likewise heli designs didn’t really consider ARH missiles but rather Saclos and IR MANPADS.
