MI-28NM received DIRCM, protection against all missiles. DEV

The current implementation is detached from reality anyway in the case of Mi-28MN, it should have coverage under and behind the heli, and should only be able to distract 1 missile at a time.

Now tell me how that ball (L370V28-5L) can project a laser trough the heli, it’s clear as day that it’s meant to defend against manpads because of placement but Gaijin in their incompetence implemented it lazily and overpowered(wonder why?), while other systems like the MUSS on puma are literally useless with how bugged they are.

There is something on its nose though as well.

Those 2 are headlights…

This is the same heli, you can see the LDIRCM on its back section.

Spyder aio gets derbies, type 81c arh missiles are also a thing.

If the DIRCM works against infra-red guided missiles, how can active radar homing missiles be affected by this mechanic?

Cause only SLAMRAAM, Spyder (Derby), Type 81C (ARH missile) are immune to that while IRIS-T, Elde 98, CS/SA5, Spyder (Python 5) and SLAMRAAM (AIM-9x) are not.
Russian players always have ka-52 in their lineup, now they will only use MI-28NM due to the immunity it gives against almost every new SPAA. So other nations players are forced to either choose to buy another lineup for the old SPAA or sacrifice an MBT or IFV slot for the old SPAA so as to have an option if there is enemy MI-28NM up and you know how many helicopters the Russia spam each match.

They are gaijin, they have been doing everything incompetently for over 8 years.

Spyder AIO + Tan-SAM Kai both have ARH missiles.

Just a heads up the ka-52 will have this as well and if they fix the mi-28’s angles it covers the ka will be better as it has two of the lazer emitters

The Ka-52 doesn’t use LDIRCM like the Mi-28MN tho, it uses the IR strobe version on the normal one and the UV/IR strobe on the Ka-52M.

Unless of course there’s an image with the LDIRCM ball like on the Mi-28MN, it looks visually distinct as well so there’s no way it to not recognize it.

Time goes by and nothing changes…

Making helicopters invulnerable is a VERY good idea

Why is it ML lol? need to change to MT. Funny thing, I tested and if u just sit there, no IR SPAA can even destroy your vikhrs now. Obviously other SPAA can but they can’t dodge.

I would love to hear the justification to applying this to eastern block helicopters, and neglectiing to do the same for western ones which have the same capability.

I would also love to hear the justification for doing it the exact same update that (some of us) finally get better air defence systems.

Seems pretty indefensible to me.

There is one on the nose but it should lose radar.

Is that another version of the Mi-28?
That might be a LDIRCM but it would be strange to put it on the nose where it would be highly unlikely a manpad could come from.
But even then it’s not the version we have in game and it’s stupid OP anyway because it can distract however many missiles at the same time.

It’s the same Mi-28NM with DIRCM turret on the nose and dismantled radar.

In my opinion its skill issue. Because it really will be a lot of fun to play in the top tier and a SAM spawn kill helicopters , but as you can only see Russia did not even wait to see if the others will receive other versions or pods . Use the head that God gave you

Most likely it will deflect all missiles including the new AIM-120C-5 and AIM-9X.
